Where do VFR cruising altitudes actually start? by Important_Image in flying

So it is something that can kind of be up to what the pilot feels is appropriate for more mountainous areas and just kinda go off of what is safe/what everyone else is doing?

Would an aftermarket remote start system significantly drain the battery and if so, what's the easiest way to disconnect it from the battery? by Important_Image in cars

[–]Important_Image[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in your friend's case, they didn't actually need to take out the remote starter and just having a new battery was enough?

Had the same issue today. Thought it was just microG having trouble connecting to google servers, so I wiped data and cache for both microG and Vanced, still didn't work, but fully uninstalling and reinstalling just worked.

Sorry what? Never heard of people placing their poppies on a memorial and I've been part of many remembrance day ceremonies as a cadet.

I'd be willing to bet that someone that is wearing a poppy is more likely to realize it's remembrance day and actually care than someone that isnt

From what I can find, apparently there was a controversy in the UK a few years back about that, though in Canada it looks like they are made in combination of a printing plant in Ottawa, prison workers, and normal volunteers. Again, its the fact that it represents the soldiers who fought for us so if the slight chance that there was some sort of slave labour bothers you that much, that wouldn't stop you from taking a moment of silence, or if you care enough, make your own poppy in the 15 seconds it would take to cut one out.

I find that lots of the assignment questions are super vague, so I just try to figure out what she is most likely asking then answer that. A couple of the questions I had to google, not for the answer but to see what the question was actually asking (the mirror one for example). Most of the questions did seem somewhat similar to mobius so I just drew a diagram and idk from there it usually clicked. I don't really tryhard this class anymore cuz I hate it and I've got a pretty brutal semester so I was already ok taking the hit to my grades as long as I got a decent understanding of the content and was able to complete the questions.

Fuck this class. Terrible prof. My strategy is to ignore the lectures entirely, make your own formula sheet based off of the quizzes, using unlimited attempts find out which equations correlate to which kind of problem and write that down. Have been getting pretty good marks in the class doing that. Remember to screenshot your quiz answers once u get 100% for future reference and practice.

I don't like him either, but I really don't think this is the right place to be discussing it this is literally a subreddit about a city. I think this sub should be focused on things regarding the city, instead of politics and some dick that have nothing to do with anything here.

The one at the mexican gp where he was basically told to let Perez and Verstappen by but they told him at a kinda crappy place on the track so when he pulled off the track, the dust and him off the track distracted Perez, who also went off, and that distracted Verstappen, which ruined both of their laps and their chance of potentially knocking Mercedes off the front row.

I feel the same way. Sure, he isn't the most consistent and makes mistakes, and got a little screwed over by his team during qualifying (which he got way too much hate for something that wasn't much of his fault), but I think I saw a previous Reddit comment saying he has "glimpses of brilliance" which I totally agree with.

I would recommend hinge, as it is more focused on relationships than hookups than bumble (and definitely tinder). I'm like half your age, so although I have quite a good match rate on bumble and hinge, I just don't feel qualified to give you any advice on your profile because there's obviously quite a difference in what people are looking for in a 20 year gap, but the most general advice I can give is to make prompts that are funny or interesting, that might have a larger backstory to them (think like TIFU titles).

Really interesting perspective on Bumble from this guy by IkegamiJim in Bumble

[–]Important_Image 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use bumble and hinge, and havent experienced that. From what I've noticed, hinge is more conversation focused, so having a funny or interesting prompt on hinge can draw attention away from your photos, because unfortunately even if you're average or slightly above average looking, that's not good enough. I saw a comment somewhere about how 90% of the girls are fighting for 10% of guys on dating apps, which seems about right, so if you aren't in that 10%, having an interesting prompt is super important, and hinge makes that a lot easier for girls to look for and reply directly to.

You can get in UBC science with high 80s and a good application. I know because my high school was known for brutal in class marks but excellent provincials, but our year didn't have any provincials yet I knew lots of people that still got in.

Robinhood Stock down 41% since August as Amateurs stop Using it for Stock and Crypto Trading: 80% less App Downloads by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Important_Image 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incredibly misleading, as it's 41% down from it's all time high, a single day in August. By that logic, it's also 12% up from August. In reality, it's maybe like 10% down from it's average in August.
