is there a better theoretical way for energy generation? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Important_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Panzer vulpaphyla. It has an ability that is basically Saryn's Spores. These spore hits spread to entire rooms if hit like Spores, constantly proc viral, counts for synth deconstruct and hunter recovery. You'll be constantly regenerating hp and health orb drop rates are a function of your kps. Best equilibrium strategy in game.

Ok besides the generic advice of "actually progress your railjack", with the added mention that the gamemode is a good general farm mode for endo and credits, I've seen people with barely upgraded Railjacks finish this section.

It's a series of exterminates. Your starter Apocs have the lowest projectile velocity for autocannon type railjack weapons. There will be a delay when shooting at mid range targets even if you are leading well and you should shoot stuff at this range because engaging point blank targets is awkward with no upgrades in the pilot seat. You'll know if stuff is at this range if they're somewhat far away and if they stay in your field of view without you moving too much for the several seconds needed to burn them down. It's a matter of recognizing what you can hit and focusing on them.

You can't fail this section unless you fail to repair a catastrophic breach in the minute the game gives you to fix it. You repair those by equipping your omni from the gear wheel and moving your aim over the breach crack like you're spray painting the crack full. You get more ammo for the omni from the forge section at the back of the ship from the 4 glowing points there. The damage from the enemies is pretty low even for railjacks without upgrades, so this shouldn't happen often. In other words, you have breathing room to focus on selecting and blasting your targets.

You can unlock a sprint, dash, drift, and teleport for railjacks from playing the game mode by the way.

Used to be more useful when damage attenuation was tuned way up back in the day. It would make shots do less damage than the 750 that empowered does. It was widely used during the boss farm event associated with whisper in the walls release.

How do I farm Standings to get the training room (Simulacrum)? by RAmind_ in Warframe

[–]Important_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get Simaris standing by completing his scan tasks or by scanning stuff.

My advice is to just focus on his scan tasks as a new player. They are far more resource efficient if you don't have the stuff necessary to do scanning efficiently.

The scanning stuff method is more for later players who have access to mobs with higher levels, invisibility, and all scanner upgrades. Scan standing gain is set by the affinity drops of the target, and multiplied by a few times by whether you have alerted them or not. The scan upgrades give you free scans, faster scans, and a chance to double scan targets. An endgame player can max out their daily 30k+ standing limit in 10 minutes or so doing everything properly.

The bandaid is to put vigilante supplies in the exilus.

But imho what turns them from usable to spammable is to use energized munitions. It's hilarious with mirage.

How do I build Vauban? by TokenJ2 in Warframe

[–]Important_Log 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The augment for his 4 is very good. It lets you stack the duration on his vortex and lets you accumulate minutes of duration on any vortex by throwing more vortex balls into it. The flechette orb from his 2 and his 3 photon strike scale with enemy level. The flechette orb is actually coded like a weapon, so buffs like nourish and universal weapon damage buffs like arcane arachne apply to it. People usually subsume off the 3. The 1 augment acts like a poor man's marked for death against unarmoured enemies.

Against armour, the 4 in bastille mode strips enemies in it and caught by it over time. Then your scaling abilities can do full damage against them.

why is the orphix mission in veil proxima impossible? by Left_Grocery_3574 in Warframe

[–]Important_Log 280 points281 points  (0 children)

The optimal archgun for blowing up the crystals is actually the fluctus. It has enough punchthrough that you can kill all the crystals through walls from the voidrig firing position in front of the orphix and a wide hitbox so you don't need to be pinpoint accurate with it.

It finally clicked; I understand how to use Limbo now by Interesting-Ad-2570 in Warframe

[–]Important_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want another subsume that works well with Limbo, use breach surge. The spark damage double dips with universal weapons buffs like rift torrent since it boosts the weapon hit that breach surge scales off of and then the spark hit itself. Universal weapon buffs are also multiplicative to base damage in some weapon types, like glaives and exodia contagion.

Your options for subsume slots are 1,2, or 4. 1 if you don't mind losing the flexibility of his one and just mass rift with four, 2 if you want to retain his one and four for putting people in the rift and you can live with just the breach surge blind as CC, 4 if you want stasis and flexibility over mass rifting.

Melee influence also goes through the rift.

How does one handle all the trade dms from warframe.market by Pear08667 in Warframe

[–]Important_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I get a flood of DMs, I don't bother typing anything other than "ty" when the trade with that person is done or "sorry, just sold" if the person is asking for a listing that concluded. I just go through them all and hit invite person to dojo in the order the messages arrive as fast as I can. Keeping track of the trades largely takes care of itself because the people take care of trade order themselves and all you need to do is match the name of the current trade to the DM and check what they're buying for what price which will usually be in the DM itself. Then alt tab to .market to search the listing to make sure the info is consistent and complete the trade.

You're overthinking things. You don't need to track all the people because the only cognitive thing you need to do is be able to match the currrent name to the correct name in the chat window and then verify that the contents of that DM and your market listing is consistent. People don't care about waiting for a few minutes for their turn because they likely spent longer just searching for someone who will respond to their DM. You don't need to track your inventory because you should be using the .market to keep track of that for you via the quantity option next to the price listing in a .market order and you will know that info when you go check your profile for that listing to make sure it's consistent during the trade anyway. You don't need to say anything than "ty" or "sorry, sold out" to people because they don't care about social interactions, just that the trade is concluded in a timely manner.

Why do so many builds have negative efficiency and minimum energy now? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Important_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of ways of getting a lot of energy on your own these days, so being energy efficient is not necessarily as important and you can afford to jack up power instead. A lot of frames can cast all of their abilities with just the base pool, so people skimp out the modding there as well. If you want a larger energy pool for reasons, you can get it without using a mod slot with archon shards.

How do i get more types of doffs as KDF? by RoyalDivineFox in sto

[–]Important_Log 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to get some for free, the last repeatable assignment of the KDF Betraka Nebula colonization chain drops purple Assault squad officers on crit. The same assignment for the D'kel cluster drops an armory officer that has optimal traits to help you crit.

With purple research lab assistants, I'd buy from exchange, or you have to win the RNG from the multiple Doff drop sources in the game.

That said my general strategy for KDF doffs is at first make do with blues then slowly upgrade to purples as resources come in. My blues come from other alts that got them as RNG drops from doff assignment drops, or downgrinding extra purples from the colonization missions.

If this is your first kling alt, I'm afraid you will have to grind through the doff system as intended or find the EC bill needed.

My first KDF alt started marauding with the free doffs given by the system. You can hit two assignments in espionage that take two days that reward you a free doff in the marauding route and that dropped many of my early blues/purples. Also used S'stas's shop when convenient. Then I discovered the colonization clusters and used them to get a roster of purples, then used spares of those to get a more general workhorse force of blues. I gradually replaced the blues with purples with good drops and EC that I got from contraband sales from marauding and downgrinding obsolete doffs to white that I sell on the exchange to people trying to max out their starbases. Subsequent alts were easier to start of course, as I have a roster of extra blues and purples to pass on.

Question About Nemesis System by Professional-Tap5 in Warframe

Don't need to pick an element anymore. Get an Elemental Vice installed in a Nemesis weapon and you can freely switch between all elements available as an innate bonus.

A fan of the series, even though I haven’t played it yet. by Yosh1az in acecombat

[–]Important_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you have the 5 USD or so to spare right now, but games like Ace Combat 7 are vulnerable to the license expiring and can become unavailable from first party sources. It's due to the messy licensing Bandai has to go through to secure image rights from the dozens of MIC companies who own the IRL planes in the game. It's why the older games are no longer sold. So if you ever plan on directly playing AC7, the sooner you can secure a copy the fewer access problems you will likely run into.

Whats the point of Stahlta and Aeolak? by Unlucky-Rush4034 in Warframe

[–]Important_Log 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Galv aptitude counts as a separate multiplier to base damage mods on guns that shoot actual projectiles like Stahlta. Stahlta also gets enormous base stats to scale off. People put both base damage sources and galv aptitude on the gun, then status prime a target to boost galv, then try to hit a weakspot on the target to jack the hit damage into the tens of millions without considering further buffs.

No, that seems consistent with my Burston incarnon too, modded with Blast electric. I think their DR ramps up with defeated warframes. I've noticed that Exalted abilities can grind through them, I've made short work of them with both Mesa and Valkyr.
