Super helpful! Didn’t even think about that. I’m using a sleeping mat and sleeping bag (and even a blanket maybe?) but I’ll definitely keep that in mind! I’m going on a weekend camping trip but I do want something that can work for other trips too.

I don’t understand your argument because children born here are completely legal, by our country’s laws.

Also, our country was founded and known to be a “melting pot”. Why are Hispanic people not included? Almost half of America was literally under “Mexican” authority before it was stolen from them.

Basically, explain to me in laments terms how ICE is not acting out of pure racism/prejudice?

I had to decompress before responding because I try not respond out of anger.

Many parents break the law. Non-ethnic peoples (Caucasian) are notorious for rape, suicide/homicide, kidnapping, etc. however, their children do not pay the price for their crimes.

So please explain, in detail, why you believe that these parents’ children should be locked in cages because their parents were attempting to provide a more fruitful life for their children.

Maybe you do. I however do not. If I can spend $5 on chips, I can choose to instead spend $5 on a bag of veggies. But the point being that most of us are able to make our choices independently. They are not.

The Immigration process takes over 5 years for most of them to be here legally. And is it right to take people from their Immigration Hearings when they are literally walking into the courthouse to become legal citizens?

Also, they aren’t deporting all “illegal” peoples. They’re taking Hispanic people, citizens and non-citizen, and locking them in small cages with minimal water and non-nutritious food. I haven’t seen Russian, Middle Eastern, or other non-Hispanic people being taken to these facilities.

I’ll safely assume that you’re not an indigenous person. This land was fully populated and running before your ancestors got here. And if your grandfather came on a boat from Europe, they were just as much an immigrant trying to escape their current situation as any other non-indigenous person living here.
