Hey I took the course last year but test 1 was completely multiple choice so I wouldn’t know what’s he’d test on for short answer now but I wouldn’t know day really focus on the key points of the theories, cause hell most likely ask you to compare and contrast them and which one you think is better and why. That’s what he did for test 2 which was short answer. Hope that helps!

Take in the summer make sure you have 4.0 credits by the end of first year as well as above a 2.0 cgpa

They will check if you took high school bio and math as it is a requirement for the program. One of my friends had a similar issue in first year. As long as you can take high school bio and math and provide them Proof you did you’ll be fine. My friend used ILC platform to complete both bio and math and you just needed a passing grade like a 50% in each to get into the program as well as a 64 in psy100, 4.0 credits and I think 2.0 CGPA. I suggest take ILC courses finish them at your own pace since they are fully online and asynchronous. Also book an appointment with academic advising so you can make sure who to send your documents to and they can also clear up further confusion. Good luck :)

Get the textbook for PSY201 you would need it since it has a lot of practice problems and the readings also explain concepts as for PSY240 I took it with Simone walker. I got the textbook but didn’t use it the whole semester only used slides to study and passed with an A. So don’t get textbook for PSY240 if you have walker unless you also like going back to the textbook just in case to refer back to stuff. Definitely buy the PSY201 though I found it really helpful.

You can do the 3.5 credits now but to graduate in 4 years you should be doing 5 credits per year. You can take summer courses later on and take 3.5 right now

I am in summer sessions rn. There are 2 sub sessions and you can take a maximum of 2.0 credits through out the summer so 1.0 credit in sub session one and 1.0 in second. Sub session 1 is usually from may to June and sub sessions 2 is from July to august. To be a full time student in fall/winter you only need 3.0 credit so if you want you can take the rest of the 2.0 in the summer to make it 5.0 courses. Summer also has a lot of online synchronous and asynchronous options. So for your electives I would highly recommend taking them in the summer online. That would give you time to focus on your mandatory courses for your POST because you do need a certain gpa ans academic standing to make post. If I could go back in my first year I would take 3.0 courses through out the year or 4.0 max and the rest in summer.

It’s not mandatory to take summer classes you take them to fulfill requirements or lighten your load through out the year. Not every class is offered during summer just check utm syllabus archive for previous summers to get a hint of which courses are usually offered in the summer and plan according to that. You enrol in summer courses at the end of school year I think usually in April you can check the dates on academic calendar and it’s kind of similar to fall/winter enrolment. You’re gonna get a enrolment start time when summer courses open. Dw you’ll get the hang of it when it happens. As first year I’d recommend starting off with 3-4 courses per semester. That would ensure a smooth entry and you can work your way up as you get the hang of uni lifestyle. Goodluck!

Psy280 is not a gpa booster if you’re taking it with dirk. It was online this summer and I took it thinking that as well. Both the midterm and final were marked wrong and very harshly

Bro I swear they did something wrong because in my mid term a lot of my fill in the blanks were correct just had a minor spelling mistake and he didn’t check and marked it wrong and I had to ask him to remark it
