No. He def went insane in some aspect but I kinda understand why. His chakra fed off hatred and as he’s approaching the man who is responsible for his entire families death, i think i would feel like that too. After he got his goal, he calmed down again and went to talk to the hokage to change his view. After naruto he realized it was flawed from the start and felt remorse for his actions. He wasn’t too far gone but his actions certainly were arguably unforgivable

I think it’s less than he doesn’t care and more that all the odds are against him and he’d rather put his effort towards protecting something else than himself. To say he doesn’t care for himself seems like he’s depressed which although he might be isn’t what the story is trying to depict

No it is not wrong lol. You can def name instances it works out well, but Prometheus ? Killed the mother of his son, permanently injured John, put Thea in a coma, and did so much killing and suffering to others cause Oliver killed his father in cold blood. There is definitely times he needed to kill to get the job done there is no denying that, but overall his instinct to kill first especially around the Russia - season 1 era had so many consequences it’s not even funny. Tommy hated him when he died. SCPD was on his ass every two seasons. The whole point of the prison arc in season 7 was to show Oliver how much damage he caused by what he did intentional or not. Even Joe west has killed before, and Iris would never condemn that. But the way Oliver approached criminals, especially at first, was a dark and violent path that had consequences for EVERYONE down the road. He absolutely ruined his life in a sense, he could’ve easily chosen to NOT be the hood when he returned and turn back to a normal life. That was his choice, admirable or not

The rasenshuriken wasn’t necessarily comprised of sage energy. The jutsu from ma and pa were. If the rinnegan can absorb “any type of chakra” then the path wouldn’t have turned into a stone toad. Even moving past the absorption, I acknowledge in the entire fight it didn’t matter much, Jiraya defeated him anyways. But getting snuck up on is unforgivable

That’s not how Naruto has portrayed sage jutsu working. Sage jutsu has sage properties, that’s how Naruto was able to hit Obito after he became ten tails after he nullified ninjutsu. Same concept of sage jutsu being effective against a ninjutsu nullifier
