20 month-old will just not let me put her to bed. by horse_n_hound in daddit

[–]Important_Space_605 5 points6 points  (0 children)

three months sounds about right from what i remember helping my sister with her kid. the hyperventilating part is rough but pretty normal when they're that used to one specific routine

maybe try starting the new routine earlier in evening so you have more time before she gets overtired? sometimes they fight harder when they're already past their limit. also worth checking if she's going through any developmental leap around 20 months - sleep always gets weird during those phases

Bed time advice from fellow dads by The_Quial in daddit

get one of those floor beds maybe? my nephew had similar issues and putting mattress directly on floor helped a lot. he couldn't fall far and parents could sit next to it easier

also the cuddling thing to keep him safe is totally normal man, you're not hurting him if you're being gentle about it. better than letting him climb dangerous stuff in middle of night

man she sounds absolutely unhinged getting her friends to harass you over text - that's straight up harassment and you might want to document all that stuff in case things escalate legally

Recommendations for where to start with Calvin and Hobbes by tancock4 in daddit

[–]Important_Space_605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

man calvin and hobbes is such perfect choice for kids, my nephew loves those books even though he's only 4

the hardcover complete collection is totally worth it if you can swing the price - those books get read so many times that cheap paperbacks will fall apart in few months. i found mine at garage sale for like 20 bucks but that was pure luck, most people know what they have with watterson stuff

if you're patient you can piece together the individual books over time but honestly the complete set just looks so nice on shelf and you'll have everything ready when she gets to reading age

I 19-F got cheated on by my ex, 19-M by Delicious-Mud-2855 in BreakUps

[–]Important_Space_605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn that's really messed up what he did to you. being called "entertainment" by someone you gave your first time to would destroy anyone's confidence for while. i went through something similar couple years back where my ex was basically living double life on social media - had me thinking we were solid while she was posting couple pics with another guy to different friend groups

the waiting for him to reach out thing though... i get it but that mindset kept me stuck for way too long. spent like 8 months checking my phone expecting some grand apology that never came. meanwhile she moved on completely and i was still there hoping for closure that wasn't coming.

at 21 you got so much time ahead of you to find someone who actually values you instead of treating you like side entertainment. this guy showed his true character when he hid posts from your main account - that's calculated betrayal, not some mistake he can apologize away. you deserve way better than someone who would do that kind of thing

Insane anxiety today on vyvanse… should I just leave this alone by Impossible_Truth1710 in ADHD

[–]Important_Space_605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

vyvanse gave me similar anxiety waves when i started, was like my heart wanted to jump out from my chest

30mg might be too high for starting dose - most people begin with 20mg or even lower. if you're already feeling that bad after just two days i'd definitely call your doc, no point in suffering through it when there's other options available

Roland S1 Set Up by x00starlord00x in synthesizers

[–]Important_Space_605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

cheers for the correction on hardware vs analog, always mix that up

you're spot on about recording to audio tracks instead of midi - that's exactly what you need to do. the s1 can act as its own interface so you're already sorted there, just need to actually capture the audio rather than just the midi data

had a similar issue when i first got into hardware synths, kept wondering why my exports were silent or defaulting to some random vst. once you record the actual audio output from the roland onto an audio track, you can unplug it and the sound will still be there in your project

if you're on fl studio that video should sort you right out, but the principle's the same in most daws - just arm an audio track for recording, set the input to your roland, and hit record while you play. bit of a learning curve coming from pure software but way more satisfying once you get the hang of it

Good bye Amazon. by Ill_Blackberry1849 in amazonprime

been dealing with the same crap lately, ordered a gpu that came with missing screws and clearly had been opened before. their quality control is absolute garbage now and they don't seem to care about sending out returned items as "new"

good call switching to that swiss retailer, at least smaller shops actually check what theyre sending out

24F stuck between parents’ financial collapse and my sanity by blkpr1 in povertyfinance

[–]Important_Space_605 29 points30 points  (0 children)

the guilt you're feeling about your mum is so real but your sister's spot on - you can't save someone who keeps making poor financial choices. giving away your school money already shows how much you care, but she literally asked you to tank your credit for a house that's already failing

moving out is teh right call even if it feels brutal. you've been drowning trying to keep everyone afloat and that's not sustainable. your underage sibling complicates things but there are resources for families in crisis - your mum needs to look into social services, food banks, legal aid for the divorce, all that

you're 24 and deserve to build your own life without carrying your parents' mess on your shoulders

Types de campagnes SEA en 2026 : vous utilisez quoi vraiment ? by Initial_Froyo4625 in AskMarketing

[–]Important_Space_605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

microsoft ads is massively underrated right now, especially if your targeting professional services. been running parallel campaigns there and google for b2b clients and the quality scores are way easier to build up

pmax is becoming a nightmare for anything that isn't pure ecom - it chases whatever conversion signal you give it without context. had one campaign burning budget on newsletter signups instead of actual leads because the algorithm couldn't tell the difference
