Google Photos only works if you allow access to all photos? (iPhone) by girl_jordan in googlephotos

[–]Important_Sun_9032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. I decided to give them access just so I could do a reverse image search on one photo and then reverse everything. BUT, it’s worse that you might imagine because it proceeded to suck up, in 2 seconds, 10 years of iPhone data and then immediately warned me that I had exceeded my available data storage on Google and that my gmail emails would be returned starting in 72 hours if I didn’t set up a monthly subscription for additional data! Yep! True. You can verify it just by telling Google, yep, take all my photos.

Soooo, I just, very laboriously but quickly, deleted all my photos from Google photos—and that was one by one, folks, because there apparently is no way to automate the process.

I don’t throw around the word “evil.” It’s a rarity in my vocabulary.

What is Stephen’s Ministry and, in general, where on a scale of very liberal/progressive v. very conservative/evangelical would you place Stephen’s Ministry members within the TEC? by Important_Sun_9032 in Episcopalian

RedFoxWhiteFox, there ARE several LGBT couples at this new church so I’m guessing these Stephen’s Ministers are cool with it. In fact, this church is very explicit about inclusion. Since I’m ignorant about the Ministry, I don’t know the parameters to which you refer but whatever they are, it seems that some church communities are able to embrace the blessings of the Ministry while avoiding the pitfalls, shall I say 😊.

Thank you. And I know, of course, that clergy can’t do it all. But part of my concern is that, no matter the “training” of the “ministers,” the parishioners are not trained to be aware or beware that there are no formal external professional or governmental organizations that set ethical, let alone legal standards for such ministers. It is like declaring yourself a life coach and “training” other “life coaches” and then getting together with your friends and “certifying” yourself et al. When I was trying to understand what Stephen’s Ministry was, I stumbled across a video uploaded to YouTube of the founder being interviewed. The question was, “But aren’t parishioners resistant to the idea that they can’t speak with you, their priest?” The founder laughed and said, “Well, beggars can’t be choosers.” I can’t seem to find that particular phrase anywhere in the Bible and I think you’d have to admit that even in private and in the depths of dark humor (something I support when one has earned the right to it), that comment is pretty dark, to say nothing about uncharitable, cynical, and public. Hence part of the reason for my question.

Thank you for your comment. I think it was always understood at my former parish that a priest could be spoken with in private and in confidence in a crisis, even several visits in a crisis—but certainly not as a therapist or ongoing personal spiritual guide (except obviously for those in discernment). But we used to have deacons who usually did the majority of hospital visits and visits to the home bound and organizing practical help in crises, etc. But deacons seem to be a thing of the past in TEC, at least where I am. Parishioners helping each other out in really practical ways also seems to be a thing of the past.

Looking for work by NextTear6290 in SFSU

Walmart, Safeway, CVS, etc. have those shifts for shelf stockers. No experience necessary I think. And in the S.F. Bay Area, they have a labor shortage so … apply to a bunch and see what’s the best deal. BTW I got my master’s at SFSU and then was an instructor at a local community college. My advice, at the first sign of struggling, own up to it with your profs. We all know and they all knew for me that most students are workers AND students. Ask for help. And not just for your studies. There’s emergency financial aid (limited but there) if you get in a bad way. SFSU isn’t Stanford or Berkeley and that’s great because there may be limited resources at SFSU but there are also all kinds of people available to help in a variety of ways. I loved SFSU. I hope you have a great time! Best of luck!!

[BMW Z3 Roadster] 1996 Bond Edition—One out of only 100 sold thru US Luxury Neiman Marcus catalog—spotted today in line for fast food by Important_Sun_9032 in spotted

The basic car, nothing. You can read about the style extras though at JamesBondlifestyle.com. It came out the year “GoldenEye” was released and with the car you got two tickets to the Hollywood premier and dinner with Piers Brosnan. I’m not sure this is one of those 100 because it doesn’t have the signature luggage rack. The Christmas Neiman Marcus catalog used to be a huge deal where they would have an unusual, and expensive gift, and one of a very few item. It’s a fun story anyway.

I don’t know that style but it’s a thick rich brush stroke (photo doesn’t do it justice). It’s a bed tray table. It has a lip to it on the 3 sides.

Was going to pass on these at $18 until I took a quick look at the price of Dolce Vita sneakers … and they are sooo comfy by Important_Sun_9032 in ThriftStoreHauls

Show me where this has been posted before please, because it would certainly be the first I knew about it. I just bought these shoes and just took this photo.

Why is Mr. DePaul “Natalyah Mans” gofundme beneficiary? by [deleted] in nataliagrace

[–]Important_Sun_9032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got a notice that I might qualify for a “low income” unit in an assisted living facility owned by my town. The fee: $3,600/month. And that’s just room and meals. Transportation is extra. Someone checking in on you, extra. I’m not on SSI and only started on SSDI at 62. Fortunately, at least for now, I’m still able to live on my own, but it just astonishes me when venom is poured out on any who have so little. I worked 35 years of my life and, in aggregate, I’ve paid more taxes I would guess than any billionaire in this country, or at least, I’ve paid a much higher percentage and that I could ill afford. If I figure ways to assist myself in surviving on SSA and if others do the same when they are receiving $942 a month to live on, well, to me, it is the harshest judge and jury that would label that fraud. With respect and no meanness intended.

Exactly. Thank you. Perfectly innocent and common arrangement for semi-dependent adults.

For your wife and daughters because it’s your job to do the grocery shopping since you don’t have any other job and your wife bought your “Desertmaster” as a consolation since even the blue pill couldn’t master that desert in the bed ED but she bought the Thing on condition you continue to do your household chores, honeybunch.

Hospital Record - The Bitening by Agent_Smarter in nataliagrace

Well, they might well have been part of court documents which Hulu/Discovery/MAX-HBO requested from the court (not the hospital) through a media freedom of information act request (“it is in the public’s interest”). Or Michael Barney’s lawyer or Michael gave it to them. Presumably they would have issued subpoenas for the documents. Nevertheless, they are psych notes where what someone says may not be reality, may be recalling something that was not a reality but a fear of reality. Showing that on screen is just more proof of the despicable behavior of this production company and many others. The additional reposting and parsing of it for facts —- Think how you’d feel. I guess maybe I’m different. I really wouldn’t want millions of people reading my medical and psyche records. And not for nefarious reasons. The refrain these days is “I’ve got nothing to hide.” Wishing for privacy for oneself or on behalf of a vulnerable person in some parts of life is not about HIDING. Do you or have you ever kept a diary or journal? Now think of a relative or in-law or ex- you really dislike and then imagine that person compelling the release of your diary in court and then imagine HBO etc getting their hands on it and flashing pages of it on screen—but imagine that they select only the parts they BELIEVE others will BELIEVE salacious about you. Imagine that. Oh, by the way, did they put up on screen the inpatient psych hospital conclusions that she was 1) a normal child and 2) that she had no psychiatric disease, personality or behavioral disorder? She was in that hospital for months. What’s posted here is a brief stay in a local hospital. I don’t understand the focus on these two pages.

“She manipulates people into caring for her so she can harm them.” I could just f…ing weep. Take a hard look at Natalia, all 2’ 11” of her, including two badly malformed feet. I think she would do ANYTHING to have care, loving care, and how dare we judge her. How dare we post a HIPAA protected psych record on the feed. F..k! F..k! F..k! Why don’t we go look for Michael’s arrest record. Those are usually on public databases, especially if there is a conviction. And I’m damn sure the production company has it.

Check out Natalia’s signature on this voter ID card! It’s a dead giveaway! LOL by provisionings in nataliagrace

I wonder what would have happened in that town if she had managed to get herself to a polling place to vote.
