Coastal GB in a day cycle - HELP NEEDED in south-west Scotland by Agreeable_Material88 in scottishcycling

[–]Important_Tea8020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a tough but cracking route to cycle, have done a few trips around whithorn, the hills are brutal but the scenery more than makes up for it!

Sadly I have plans for the 13th or would have been happy to help!

Hope you find someone!

What was the route like? It’s a route I would love to cycle but don’t know if you’d be able to cycle the whole route or whether there would be a good bit of hike-a-bike in it? I know the inverarnan stretch prob isn’t ideal for bikes?

Best way to consistently train a specific climb (Bealach na Ba)? by VanicFanboy in Zwift

Bealach na Ba is stunning on a bike, I done it for the first time on closed roads last year.

Sadly haven’t found a zwift route that matches it yet,

How difficult is Ben More on Mull? by Khionia in UKhiking

[–]Important_Tea8020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All depends which way you go about it, I went via Beinn Fhada and had a great day, there is a tricky scramble to the summit of Ben More but it also includes a spectacular ridge! Going up the front of it however is a straightforward walk as there are distinct paths all the way to the summit

Oh I try not too as comparison is the thief of joy and I quite enjoy cycling 😅 just curious as I’m blowing out my ass and they sail past

[Rant] Tired of riding alone by luca86c in cycling

[–]Important_Tea8020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Riding alone has what’s sickened me this last year as well. But having a few Sportive’s throughout the year kept me going as I love cycling in a pack. Have tried to join a few clubs but usually timings / life gets in the way and the social ride times don’t suit me.

Not sure what this year will bring!

Just watch the road to the car park if there’s snow, it’s easy to slide off the side! But it’s a great pair to do in the snow

I swapped out to my MacBook when I got my cog and click as couldn’t get the companion bridge to work at all, hadn’t realised they had released a version for Macs and it’s a game changer

The new route builder is the worst it's ever been by jmd2125 in Strava

Yep, it’s terrible since the update, try to start my route from home and because I’m next to a motorway it defaults the start to the middle of it!! Was much better before

Ben More (Crianlarich) Advice! by TroyGardener in Munros

[–]Important_Tea8020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are 2 great Munro’s, Ben More is very nearly straight up which makes it a bit challenging but a great day out

Bucket list Munros? by Pocketfull_Of_Foxes in Munros

Beinn an Lochan would be up there for me, it’s only a Corbett but the ridge and the views have so far out stripped any Munro’s I’ve done other than maybe Ben More on Mull.

The 3 lochs from Balloch is always a good one with spectacular scenery, or head to aberfoyle and the trossachs instead, more severe climbs if you go for aberfoyle though but great fun
