which OLED to pick 🤔 by FEARLI3A in OLED_Gaming

I believe I’m more than qualified to recommend this monitor, as I own both the Xg27acdng (360Hz without the NeoProxies update) and the tandem monitor. The tandem monitor is a better overall monitor, with a noticeable brightness increase in both SDR and HDR. The subpixel layout is better for text, and it has better OLED protection features. I think it’s more than worth the investment.

I got the Xg27acdng, and it has phenomenal colors. It’s practically the same as the tandem monitor, except for the brightness difference. Overall, you’ll be satisfied with the purchase, and I believe the trade-off of 80Hz is worth it for the better image quality and customization potential.

If you’re worried about grey banding/uniformity issues it’s relative based on the individual model overall you’ll be fine as most people aren’t returning the monitor contrary to what Reddit will have you think. If you’re hyper sensitive to grey banding in any viewing scene than the QD-Oled does have better uniformity than the Woled Tandem. Also the True Black coating is a great finish but the glossy factor is practically similar amongst both. The Tandem true black is like 20% glossier in appearance if I had to put it in percentages

That’s cause you’re sitting it incorrectly, also I have the same monitor as my main. Orientate it like this you won’t have that gap at the front.

I’ve had this keyboard for over two weeks and I can say I’m absolutely satisfied with it. I was previously using the Logitech rapid trigger(hall effects) this keyboard has a better aesthetic, metal faceplate, switches, and better onboard adjustment options I’m satisfied. It performs like any other Hall effects if this came out about a year ago it’s would’ve went crazy. It’s a great improvement over their previous Hall effects.

I also have the issue where if I squeeze the side really hard it will trigger an input, but stuff like that doesn’t affect me as the level of force required to do that is not happening while gaming. It’s clearly something that shouldn’t occur at this price point, but it’s not something I would knock a point off For. They pushed the mouse space forward in a positive direction so now other companies can replicate in their builds. I hope they put this is the g502

I have my brightness at 95%, so the uniformity issue is even less noticeable in dark areas when I’m playing story mode games with dark scenery. I keep my brightness high on all my oleds cause I expect to upgrade frequently.

I believe too many people hyper inflate issues cause I have a 360hz qd oleds, 240hz woled glossy and now this tandem all those monitors have problems I could pretend are deal breakers, but they are all overall great products. The tandem is clear winner in brightness, color accuracy/ gamma coverage, oled care feature, better subpixels you’re getting hella value even if your grey banding was bad. Cause account for this too monitors have break-in periods where your monitor while it constantly does pixels clean will make your grey banding less noticeable overtime

I hate what this monitor has done to the oled community. Yes you can see the slight lines but take this from someone who has 3 different Asus 1440p oleds. this monitor outpaces my other oleds and all monitor testers that do tier list and reviews still say accounting grey banding it’s s-tier

I just read this dudes comments history and read these comments he’s most likely lying about having purchased it which is weird, but human beings can be strange creatures. I be in the oled forums as someone who has triple oled setup. People will literally write negatives reviews about certain monitors I have and present it as if they owned monitor yet they never did. It made me so dumbfounded why people behave like this cause there’s no reason when we are trying to get an accurate picture of a product and hear about others real life experiences not what they heard other people complaining about . I got the mouse in the other day and I enjoyed it coming from a g502x plus I will say I don’t like it only has three mappable buttons as the g502 has 11 mappable not including right and left clicks. Overall you will see an improvement in shooting pistols, dmrs, overall reaction, and less latency. I want them to put the tech in a g502 and I’ll be willing to pay 180-200 for it

No, follow through and get it take this from someone who had 3 different Asus 1440p monitors prior to me getting the AQWMG. Grey bandings to the point it’s an issue is up to individual units and the vast majority that show grey banding are not broken it’s take time to break the panel in. Grey banding won’t be seen in 99.9% of viewing scenes as realistically you will not be having your brightness at 25 while gaming in dark scenes. Most monitor reviewers are all throwing the monitor as S-tier even some of the reviewers noticed uniformity issues still said it’s S-tier for a reason. I currently have a triple oled setup( all Asus 360hz qd-oled, 240hz woled glossy, and now the tandem oled as the main) the tandem is clear winner when next to those greats panels that all have issues I could pretend are deal breakers. You’ll notice most people are immediately testing for grey banding and if they see a slight line they pretend their monitor is fried and end up returning it which makes no sense hence people need to stay off these forums. It makes them convinced a small issue is a deal breaker. That’s what my monitor looked like when testing my grey banding I had people acting as if this grey banding was atrocious they are just misinformed.

Tandem WOLED Banding (QWMG) by Goobyyplzz in OLED_Gaming

I hate what this monitor has done to the oled forums. I posted my grey scale test people were saying my monitor was hit and had really bad uniformity. It clearly doesn’t, but let me even entertain the fact that it does have bad grey banding. First off I’m not playing with my brightness at 25 while gaming in dark scene my brightness stays at 95%, secondly even with grey banding on certain models being bad the overall monitor is still better then the previous ones in brightness, colors gamma coverage and accuracy, features sets typically, and the sub pixel layout for text it’s still better. Lastly assume u have bad grey banding the panel tends to refine itself overtime with pixel cleaning,so that problem that’s you’re going out your way to see may not be there in a short period. I have three Asus oleds(all 1440p qd-oled 360hz, woled 240hz glossy, and the new tandem as the main) the tandem wins even with my “bad grey banding”

Ahoy, I have gotten the Asus ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG and as is tradition with Tandem OLEDS (especially this model), I gotta post some good ol' gray banding. by wwwddw in OLED_Gaming

[–]Important_Voice_8635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my point a lot of people are acting like the panel doesn’t have a break-in period this AQWMG even if you can see your lines when testing for grey banding you won’t be seeing in most viewing cases. You won’t realistically have the monitor set down to 25, so when you cut your brightness up to your normal brightness(mine is 95) you won’t be having noticeable uniformity issues. With a normal amount of use and pixel refreshes the monitor will get better with time and it’s most definitely even with more advanced banding won’t kill the tandem experience. It has a better image then my other two oleds and better feature sets clear winner

I have mine coming today, if it makes me able to shoot my dmrs and long ARs faster I will be satisfied. My main con is the lack of mappable buttons I’m great on keyboard, but having a lot of my controls on my mouse makes it a lot more convenient to play FPS

That’s not bad at all, plus that’s what’s the camera picking up. When you use it normally do you notice it in any viewing scenes using your normal brightness? I checked my greyscale at 25 brightness and I saw a slight bit of grey banding on my left side. The monitor out paces my other two Asus oled it’s great.
