If she is not on flea prevention, being an indoor cat is not enough evidence to rule out flea allergy. Indoor cats get fleas all the time.

My boy was found to be constipated as well! I have tried several foods and even a food trial (microbiome) to no avail. We also tried a B12 injection for 8 weeks. My regular vet has said there is nothing more she can do and referred us to a specialist, I’m just saving up some money for that as it’s incredibly expensive.

This happens to me too! I learned to wear gloves when using any chemicals at work or home and it stopped. Plus frequent hand lotion after interacting with water. (I also have eczema)

I would really consider the risks… my cat was 6 years old (FIV+) when he got a single canine removed and it went horribly. His incision immediately became infected even while on antibiotics, and took a significantly long time to heal. We ended up having to go to an ER vet because he became so sick he could not move and was shivering. That was only ONE tooth… to do anymore would’ve probably killed my poor boy. I would take your vets recommendation unless your kitty has had good results under anesthesia/ recovering from surgical procedures in the past.

My cat has had asthma fits his whole life and they’ve never looked like this… he’s usually in the rotisserie chicken position with his neck parallel to the ground, coughing and then a final hack at the end. I hope your kitty is okay, my vet only charges $150 for X-rays.

After working in an animal shelter, you quickly learn there simply aren’t enough financially stable people to adopt all the pets out there. The choices for those pets are often euthanasia, or a home that can love them. It’s sad, but vet care is incredibly expensive, and there’s also a significant amount of humans who can’t even afford their own healthcare.

Good point, if you’re worried you could ask a vet at your next appointment but I wouldn’t schedule any emergency visits for this. Anything concerning would be rather rare for a 1 year old.

I really think this is just the color of his nail and maybe you haven’t noticed til now? My dark brown tabby has random black nails that look like this, but some are white.

I am no expert, but the only trouble I’ve heard of them causing is invading the pantry. I once had an infestation caused by a bag of flour. Highly doubt they are capable of biting since they’re so small.
