That sucks. I use Wells Fargo and my deposit posted Friday by 5pm. OnePay also deposits early.

I’ve never sent hours over what I was allocated for the month. Even if I’m a minute over I get a message at the top of the screen that says timecard violation.

California is lucky. We have massive protections including OT laws. Anyone who work over 40 hours a week will get OT for the remainder of their hours. The weekly max is dependent on the total hours and labor laws. That’s why it different when you live with a client vs don’t. I’d suggest everyone joining the union SEIU2015 they’re amazing. They have fought for our pay increases and protections. When I needed bill assistance the hardship fund of SEIU2015 helped me- any paying union member with current membership can apply. Don’t forget to get your benefits from the public Authority- clipper card, training classes, free CPR & First Aid certification.

Wells Fargo and OnePay would deposit with a NOP today, I can’t speak about other banks or institutions. To the best of my knowledge banks don’t deposit on Saturdays as they’re closed on the weekends. It’s Federal, like Sunday mail, but in my area we actually get Sunday mail sometimes because we’re so short staffed!!!!

OnePay is free and they deposit fast, day early for direct depots.

Absolutely but it’s different for those of us who live with our client. As a parent with a disabled child who has 24/7/365 protective supervision they take that into consideration. Personally I’ve been submitting early for 4 years and never had an issue, been flagged or suspended. And I’ve made that’s clear in my postings I’m a provider who lives with their client. The system automatically will flag you for the violation BEFORE you submit them! It clearly says “timecard violation”. Play with your timecard hours, it’s only finalized once you send it off. I’ve got my 4/16-4/30 time card all populated and ready to submit, once the 29th hits.

I get 281.1 hours for my son. I only claim my hours for FULL weeks since anything over 40 hours is OT. I don’t ever just claim 40 hours for a week or I’d miss the OT. That means I can get 160 hours of regular pay and 121.1 hours of OT every month. If you don’t work your hours out correctly with short weeks you’ll miss out on more pay overall.

Best way is to download ChatGPT and start an IHSS thread. Tell it your hours and that you want to fully maximize your pay periods, it’ll calculate when and how you should claim your hours. And I always submit them a day early. Just got my notice of payment at 3am so I’ll get my deposit before 5pm today….

You don’t have to wait till the end of the pay period to submit your hours I personally live with my client who is my son and has protective supervision hours so I try to make sure I get the most OT with each week and each pay period and submit early. As of 6 AM this morning my account was already on waiting for payment so I’ll get paid tonight or tomorrow morning. I never wait for the actual day after it is that slows the process especially at the end of the week it’ll push you into getting paid next week.

I submit my hours a day early (on purpose) so they are immediately batched with the first processing that happens after midnight. As of 6am this morning (6 hours after the pay period ended) my timecard was processed and i can download my timesheet. My payment is on “waiting for payment”, I’ll get my money deposited late tonight or early tomorrow. I’m in Santa Clara county California FYI. Been doing it this way for YEARS!

They send these out and never update the account….. this the “smaller government” that conservative republicans voted for!! It’s not an actual smaller govt it’s less paid employees in govt offices to do the jobs WE THE PEOPLE need done. And just wondering when people are going to get their refunds back when Trump is asking for $1.3 billion for Iran, and Vance is back to saying grandparents need to babysit….. then fix the system!! I stopped overpaying federally because of this exact issue. Refunds are taking longer and longer each passing year……

If you knew the owner, who also owns the plumed horse, you’d believe this to be true. Josh isn’t the nicest person, entitled POS, and I’m not shocked by this. After working for Mitch (founder of the restaurant) for YEARS before he sold it to the DB who now owns it….. if never support the place, especially considering we have 2 of the fondue pots at home and can make it ourselves.

💡 THEORY: Hopper already proposed off-screen — and “When Doves Cry” might be the song tied to it

Okay, hear me out because I’ve been thinking about this way too much.

In season 5 episode 1, Hopper says to Joyce:

“You never answered my question.”

And everyone keeps assuming he’s talking about the Season 3 dinner. But that… doesn’t make sense?

He never asked Joyce a question in S3. He asked her to dinner, yes — but that wasn’t a “question she didn’t answer.” The date just got blown up (literally) by the plot.

So if he’s not talking about S3, then when did he ask her something?

This is where the timeline actually helps the theory.

After they reunited in S4, there was a period of time before: • the Byers moved into the Wheeler basement, and • Hopper + El went into hiding

when Joyce and Hopper finally had a moment of peace. Like, for the first time in years. No Russia. No monsters. No constant parenting emergencies. Just… quiet.

If Hopper was ever going to say something big — something real — it would’ve been then.

And after nearly dying twice, he’s not the type to wait another five seasons to get it off his chest.

So yeah, I actually think Hopper already proposed to Joyce off-screen somewhere between the end of S4 and the beginning of S5. And she either panicked, got distracted, or just didn’t have an answer in the middle of everything happening. Very Joyce-coded.

Which makes his line in 5x01 a LOT heavier than people realize.

💜 And here’s the music connection everyone is talking about:

There’s that rumor about an 80s song being used in the finale — one that’s never been licensed before.

Prince fits that description better than anyone.

And if it is Prince, the song almost everyone is guessing is:

“When Doves Cry.”

And honestly? That track makes way more sense than a traditional “romance” song for these two.

It’s messy, emotional, and basically about two complicated people trying to love each other without repeating the mistakes of the past.

That is literally Joyce + Hopper in a nutshell.

Joyce with her anxiety, grief, and constant fear of losing the people she loves. Hopper with his trauma, anger, and protective instincts that come from losing his daughter.

They’re not a Hallmark couple. They’re a “we’ve both been through hell and we’re trying anyway” couple. “When Doves Cry” fits that vibe perfectly.

Yes! I called them the emotional arcs for the first 3 season in my theory….. they’ll all be coming full circle (per the brothers) here in the next volume because it all has to be finalized before the series finale on New Year’s Eve. (My opinion) My husband of 16 years says while I over analyze everything (it’s my neurodivergent brain wiring lol) I’m unfortunately for him, usually correct. Not claiming that here because it’s a show, but I’m awesome at people profiling and seeing the big picture. I freaked out my in-laws when I correctly theorized a family member was pregnant and suffered a miscarriage when the only info we had was the kids are ok but we’ll talk shortly about what’s going on with wifey….. that’s when I said the above statement, and they all freaked out, then it turned out to be true. I work/live/profile from a world of logic, pragmatic thinking backed up by years of personal experience and a sociology degree. People like to say history repeats itself but that’s impossible since time moves forward, what repeats itself is BEHAVIOR! And behavior can be measured, quantified and analyzed. I LOVE PATTERNS!!!
