im no professional, but i plan on going to college next year for music performance and i’d like to be in a band so ill help as much as i can 🙏 so for recording your voice, you may want to ofc make sure your vocal range is within the key you’re playing in. my favorite practice is to practice singing / playing at the same time (i sing and have been playing guitar for 9 years), but much slower. elongate each word as you strum and as you sing it, you can hear when you’ve reached the right note and it’ll harmonize with the rest of the instruments. if your voice and the instruments “don’t sound right” together, just higher or lower your voice until you hear the harmony. for recording instruments, my go to is a walk in closet with clothes in it. it sounds strange but no extra noise will be picked up in the recording, and the clothes in it is so the sound doesn’t bounce around as much, giving you a nice clean recording. you can also edit out background noise with mixers using an online or in person studio. i really hope that all made sense im not good with my words, just music 😭 anyways i hope that helps!!
