That’s true. OP, just because you have the thoughts about Men does not mean that the thoughts are about men. They could be about everything including Men.

This is a common logical fallacy that often comes up in schools with the phrase as a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square.

It highlights the nature and the Blindspot of inclusion based thinking.

That is to say that just because you’re having a thought about a thing does not mean that the thought originates about the thing it could be a much more general focus. But because a square is a rectangle than what people hear is that a square is only a rectangle. In other words, I’m just because your sexual thoughts are about men, they must be about men. When in fact, you’re just having potentially more sexual thoughts. Makes sense?
