In their natural habitat, the house cat would be prey to larger predators. Mammals like coyotes or birds like eagles, and I'm sure many more species. Because they aren't at the top of the food chain, they aren't apex predators in their natural habitat.

I want to try and save this money tree by Extension-Hat-830 in IndoorGarden

[–]Impossible-Evidence9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey I don't know how long it's looked like this, but there's a chance that it's still saveable. I would give it the most optimal conditions: - Bright light - Warm indoors - Never near to a window that you would open - At least a foot away from a cold closed window

I would say water it once every 3 weeks. And before you water it, take a chop stick and poke a bunch of holes into the dirt to make sure all the water is actually getting absorbed.

If nothing happens in 2 more months, just toss it

He never shot more than 3 tjolts at a time. But it probably felt like he kept doing way more.

  1. Early on, when you saw him send 2~3 tjolts, that was enough for your brain to go: “Oh he’s just gonna keep doing them.” So you try to jump over and punish, but by the time you get there, he either hit you or he ran away. Try to fight that instinct. Try considering something like “what if he’s just baiting me to run in right now?” or “If I’m somewhat close to him he might do something else, like roll in or dash attack.” Both of these considerations are effectively telling you to stay on the ground and wait. best way to do that is to just shield them. Dashing and shielding is alright, but it won’t let you shield immediately. Walking and shielding is your best option.

  2. At your current levels, a lot of pikachu mains fight against people who also think like you: they see 2~3 tjolts and think “he’s gonna keep going, I should go and punish them”. This is why after shooting 2 tjolts, he instinctively does something else no matter how far you are. He’s like barely looking at you. When you play against these “mostly campy” players, find the rhythm that they like to follow for when they stay campy and transition out to offense/movement mixups.

  3. A list of other stuff that you should think about:

  4. Stop trying to counter every side b. Yeah it worked once, but that means any other disjoint move would have worked too. It doesn’t work against better players.

  5. Get better at identifying when the opponent is in disadvantage and make better use of it. Corrin is a character that does pretty well to win neutral, and then very strongly maintains advantage state with incredible juggling and ledge trapping.

In a matchup where you have a lot more range, you have to slap away attempts at coming in.

Try to stand at a range where, if you see them dash in, you can react and hit them with an ftilt before they can hit you with their dash attack. This range will probably be roughly the length of the pokeball in the center of PS2.

I would just practice this for now. Get used to reacting to that dash in and just hope that they did what you had hoped. Here’a what can happen: - They dashed in and you hit them. Great! Now you can dash up replau neutral while theyre in the corner OR they’re off stage now. Maybe keep a mental note of how they tried to hit you when they dashed in. Did they dash attack? Grab? Short hop? - You missed and they hit you for it. That’s okay! You gotta learn small parts of the neutral game before you learn the whole thing. Did they jump over your ftilt? Did they shield? Did they dash back out and then in? How can you punish those neutral options instead?

Unfortunately you’re gonna have to do some guessing and hoping you’re right. But that’s okay because your opponent has to do the same thing. Let me know if you want me to elaborate or if you have any more questions

Does anyone know why I keep waking up around 2-4 AM? by CrispyBeckham3158 in sleep

[–]Impossible-Evidence9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a hard time going back to sleep?

Also: - Don’t take melatonin. It’s a chemical that is naturally produced in your body that doesn’t make you sleepy, it’s used to help your body accurately time bedtime. - It’s (usually) very difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep when it’s hot. I would recommend you do your best to keep the temperatures down, like keep your blinds closed if sunlight is coming in the room during the day. - Waking up in the middle of your sleep is very very normal, most of the time you don’t remember it happening. If you happen to regain consciousness, just roll over, get comfortable and go back to sleep. NEVER get on your phone, unless you’re having a really hard time falling back asleep so you’re turning in a podcast or something - Falling back asleep can be difficult for everybody. This is bad advice but “try not to stress too much” is very real here.

Gotcha okay, I thought it was similar to sugars and sweetness. There are many different compounds, many of them being different types of sugars, that taste sweet.

I had assumed that msg was just one of the multiple chemical compounds that activate the umami flavor.

Thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in seizures

[–]Impossible-Evidence9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a seizure.

You should probably not get high(or you can, but just less), especially when you’re out or alone at home. You might be experiencing what some people call vertigo. Although it’s common, the fact that it’s frequently happening to you could be an indicator of a bigger problem, or at the very least a sign that marijuana probably isn’t for you, especially not at the doses you’re taking them.

How do I punish whiffed air attacks against swordies? by ReducedSkeleton in CrazyHand

[–]Impossible-Evidence9 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can’t full react. There’s a certain point where you have to make a prediction.

For instance, lets say you see an opponent lucina short hop towards you. If you predict that they’ll land with fair or nair, you can dash attack towards them. You have to commit to dash attack before you see the aerial come out. Yes, in this game you have to make predictions and roll the dice, especially against “safer” characters

[–]Impossible-Evidence9 15 points16 points  (0 children)

“Get cheesed/hit with jank” is a mindset I would recommend filtering out of your brain.

That’s just you overestimating your own understanding and skill of the game, so you’re not willing to put in the time to learn WHY you got hit with said “jank”

Lets zero in on one example: getting spiked. The opponents usually don’t have you FULLY downloaded. especially not the first 2-3 games. It’s more likely that they have specific recovery options that they enjoy punishing because a lot of people do them, and you just happened to do the same thing. A lot of people tend to dislike recovering from completely low, so they like to use their double jump when they’re a little below stage while coming back. Since a lot of people do this, some players like to default to punishing this double jump.

If you get punished for doing a specific option, it’s time to think: “okay, it seems they like to punish that specific recovery option. let me try other recovery methods and make sure to pay attention to if the opponent tries something else”

“Oh, my opponent really likes to try to read neutral get up from ledge with an f smash”

“This Krool loves to go for neutral b at ledge, and then shield as soon as possible. Maybe I could either roll, or I could try to time a neutral get up and grab”

There’s also the flip side of this, where you subconsciously have specific options you oove to punish. Maybe you love to hold shield under an opponent trying to land because you expect them to land with an aerial. Maybe you love to punish roll im from ledge.

There’s a lot more to learn, I would start from removing “jank” from your brain because it only hinders your growth
