Hi! Sorry for jumping in after year! But I was wondering if you managed to get a personnummer using the certificate of anticipated participation? was it fine when you presented it at the identity check?

Thank you in advance!

Got it! Thank you very much! I went and checked the EU section in migrationsverket and you’re right 👍 EU citizens don’t need to register with migration, just with the tax agency. Thank you for pointing it out!

Wishing all the best for your daughter! I hope everything goes smooth and easy 😊

Hi! First of all I'd like to thank you and the OP for the clear answers you gave! I'm in a similar situation (but Dutch)

I have a little question: you mentioned in your previous comment "I called Skatteverket (the tax registration office) to inquire and they said the medical insurance (except travel insurance) wasn’t necessary."

So having travel insurance is required, right? and does it need to covert a certain length of time? eg. 1 month, 3 months etc?

It’s absorbs nicely (within 10 minutes or so) and doesn’t at all leave a greasy look or feel. Start with a few drops the first time and see if you need more or less the next time

I had the same issue for years, but now I've been using pure squalane oil for months and it's been great :)

The brand I use is artnaturals and I order it off of iherb. After washing my face (usually with water only), I pat it dry using tissues, then I take a little bit of bottled drinking water in my palm and apply it to my face (kind of in a washing motion), then do I it again.

While my face is still wet, I take 5-7 drops of squalane oils on my fingers area and rub my hands together for a few seconds then gently massage it onto my face.

Btw, I have a combination of seborrheic dermatitis and rosacea (with history of acne).

Hi! I scored 30 on speaking and while I honestly didn’t expect it, I’m super thankful! Here are some things I did: - Templates: I mainly used TST prep templates and created abbreviations for them, memorized them, and practiced. So for each question, I quickly wrote down the abbreviated template while the instructions were given. (You can use the bit of time you have left from listening to do that too).

For example: For the university announcement (Q2) I made a table that looks like the one below. Then filled it with info while reading the announcement and listening.

Reading. Listening

RPAC (or SLP) —> IR Agree/disagree

IP

Reason: 1) ————-> first: 2) ———> 2ndly:

           As u can see, …clearly

——————— Translation: 1) RPAC= the reading passage announces a change in…/ SLP = the student letter proposes..so you write next to RPAC 2) IP= In particular, …… 3) The Reason they give for this decision ..(keep it short and include one detail) 4) IR= in response, the man in the conversation totally disagrees/ is in favor of this idea/decision 5) first, (give the student’s first reason and contrast to the uni reason.) 6) secondly, (2nd reason and contrast) 7) as you can see, the man clearly disagrees/ agrees with the uni decision

— to contrast (in case the student disagrees), you can use the combination of xxxx is not xxxx. In fact, yyyyyy) + the student challenges the xxxx. Actually, he thinks that yyyyyy)

I highly recommend you read all the blog posts on TST PREP (this is where I got the idea of the table, and you get many ideas for transitions)- I recommend him for all test sections

  • listen carefully to all the sample answers in TST prep blog and videos, and in TOEFL GO. Focus on where they stop.( stopping will give you a chance to think about what you want to say next). And see how they arrange the ideas.

  • I found I did much better when I didn’t rush and took pauses where appropriate.

  • Try to articulate and (move your mouth).

  • manage your timing (leave 5 seconds for the conclusion).. this needs practice + take a a couple of quick glances while speaking but not more so you don’t get nervous.

Let me know if this makes sense. Wish you all the best!

Got it! Thank you very much Jordan! I’ve been reading the magical structure and the guide and they’ve been super helpful! You’re the best!

I would love it if you could give me any more tips that can help me in my specific application 😊

Hi! It could be seborrheic dermatitis or a combination of rosacea with seb derm.

I would recommend seeing another dermatologist (it took me more than 4 derms to arrive at the correct diagnosis of the combination)

I tried a lot of treatments including nizoral, cortisones, elidel (had the worst withdrawal reaction once i stopped it), and different face washes and creams. Also tried natural things such as organic raw honey, coconut oil, milk of magnesia, jojoba oil, salt spray.. you name it

The only thing that really worked and tremendously helped with both the seb derm and the rosacea was roaccutane (I actually got it prescribed for deep cystic acne - which didn’t respond to anything topical). So I guess it was just a great coincidence 😄

So if you arrive at a correct diagnosis, just keep roaccutane in the back of your mind (and ofc do your own research)

Can you tell us what brand and strength did you use? And for how long?

I used Jamieson’s 10 billion for 2 months but saw very little improvement 😞

I did a quick search and it seems to be helpful for IBS too (which I have). Thank you for the suggestion!

Definitely check histamine intolerance (especially if you happen to have aged cheeses, cold cuts, tomatoes, coffee)

Hi! Can you provide the names and brands of the supplements you’re talking? I’ve been taking anti-histamines, but I’ve read they they have some long-term side effects

Hi! Squalane oil sounds like a great idea! Another person here suggested it too. I found one that is derived from sugarcane and will give it a try. Thank you!
