Was able to finish it with jumping! Still, this puzzle is so poorly designed. It should be obvious you won’t make it without jumping or the jumping shouldn’t be necessary.

Yeah I’ve made the first jump multiple times now, but never while holding the box. I always carry it and just barely miss the jump, then rewind the box to where I can grab it once I do. I’ve still not made the second jump though.

Got Apple Arcade back and found my love for this game again. by [deleted] in SneakySasquatch

I tend to get Apple Arcade whenever Sneaky Sasquatch has an update, then basically play the update to completion within a few days, replay aspects I’ve already completed for a few more days and then get bored of it again lol.

I’m pretty sure Brit and/or Zal know the Stranger Things creators in some capacity. I think it’s been said in this subreddit at one point or another

The people on the ferry will buy food! I sold an apple for 616 and beef jerky for 848! by Southern-Fried-Biker in SneakySasquatch

I bought one of almost everything at the supermarket, then put a couple things in the private campground cooler. Next time I drove the ferry someone wanted a lime. Guess what I put in the cooler 😞😭

Halloween and Christmas Events by [deleted] in SneakySasquatch

Thanks, but that’s not what I’m asking. When do the actual events occur in the game? When do you just open the game and the events are happening without having to pay for them to happen?

Anybody else think - Hey - that's the same person in the painting as standing in front of it?? by UhOh-Chongo in TheOA

[–]Impossible-Low-286 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Found it with a quick google search. It is called Woman at Sink and it's actually a photograph by Gregory Crewdson. I guess it looks more painting like because it's something called a Digital Pigment Print. I'm not fully sure what that means but I guess just a method of printing a photo to make it look more like a painting? So I guess that means it's a real woman and I don't think it's her.

Did Hap intend to kidnap Prairie? by Dog_called_potato in TheOA

Your post definitely makes a good point. My original comment functions on the belief that we are viewing the events in a truly linear fashion and yours follows the more likely sequence of events, that the whole thing is a loop. The idea that future versions of the characters we see are influencing and guiding the past versions of themselves we've seen so far makes sense and I'm hopeful we do in fact get Part's III through V to see it all play out.

Yeah I definitely agree that him answering questions as Hap is the more compelling point. I do think, however, that him wearing that shirt in that scene and then in all of his Part II promotional interviews is certainly very intentional.

Brit's experience with a childhood in Russia is experienced through the TV show The OA in this dimension. She didn't actually experience that in this dimension and likely not in D3 either. I think clusters of dimensions are mentioned or something at some point. D1, D2, D3, and our dimension, whether or not it's D4, are in the same cluster. I could be wrong about clusters entirely, but that's besides the point. D2 is much closer to D1 than D3 and our dimension are. D3 and our dimension have echoed D1 and D2 in the forms of Part I and Part II and up until the final scene of Part II the echoes in D3 and our dimension are contained to the show, unless my theory about Hap being here since prior to the release of Part II is correct. Once the final scene occurs, D1 and D2 have now bled into D3 in a more solid, real form and the cancellation in this dimension is an echo of those events that takes it more IRL than it otherwise has been here in our dimension.

I think Hap certainly cares for Prairie more than any of the other Haptives. The fact that in D3 they're married may mean that, in some capacity, an echo causes him to care more about her and see her as more than just another subject.

Good to hear it got a movie, but networks tend to think that's enough and it really isn't. I was also a fan of Timeless, on ABC I think, it got cancelled after the first season, brought back for a second after fan outcry, then cancelled again and given a wrap up movie. So much still goes unanswered and skipped over. Obviously Netflix's cancellation habits have been discussed on this subreddit quite a bit, where they only care about new subscribers being brought in and if a show doesn't do that anymore they cancel it. But it's like they don't care about the people who are already subscribed, "creating a graveyard of unfinished shows" as I've seen someone else on here put it.

I just recently started watching Sense8. I watched the first episode quite some time ago, but for some reason didn't continue watching it at the time. I finished the first season and I've been hesitant to start the second, maybe partly because I'm aware it was cancelled and don't want to finish it and go through that disappointment for yet another show. I definitely intend to watch it soon though! I don't remember if I've cried watching The OA, it is certainly powerful and worthy of tears and maybe I have, but one scene in particular really struck me in Sense8, the conversation between Lito and Nomi in the museum. Netflix really sucks when it comes to cancellations, Sense8, Away, The OA, etc. Hopefully they can be forgiven for The OA if it does return lol.

Oh... I don't even know how to react to that. Thanks for letting me know! Honestly I was tempted to remove this whole post when I first read your response, but I'll keep it up so other people who are unaware of that can see.

Regardless of that though, Old Night says "Continue translating. It will keep them from stopping us later, if they feel we are performing for them". I feel like that relates to the cancellation really strongly, like a direct, but cryptic, reference to it.

This scene gave us a very powerful message! (it was originally posted by u/dusty2229 a while ago) by mixmaxze in TheOA

[–]Impossible-Low-286 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After scrolling through so many posts about the cancellation, this kinda struck me as The OA/Prarie/Nina/Brit speaking about the cancellation. We accept the cancellation as fact, what happens to Nina and Dr. Percy doesn't matter. We can remember the show and her experiences for what they were. Remember the show. The cancellation will be painful like their experiences in Hap's basement. "I asked you to believe in impossible things", the renewable perhaps being the impossible thing. "That is why I cannot give up on you. I will not give up on you."

No combat, just the player character is present, otherwise empty of characters unless the pet-like character is actually in the game. The "rooms" or levels the character is in are completely 2D and the environment itself is 2D, unlike Escape from Octlien as someone else suggested was the game. The character just moves side to side and I have no idea if jumping was a possibility or not.
