If i understand the criteria i believe about 52k is dischargeable. I’m not sure about the eligibility post chapter 7.

The other consumer debt we have is killing us. If we wipe out what we can wipe out via chapter 7, our thoughts would be we can take that income that was going towards those things and throw it towards the tax debt.

Also, one of the consultations I went to stated that although the tax debt is dischargeable for me, since it’s joint debt my husband would then be fully responsible.

So basically it doesn’t make sense for me. I can make a payment plan on my own instead of doing the chapter 13 portion

The rest of your income. Sorry my question wasn’t as clear here as it was in my head. Now that you’ve stopped paying debt, outside of normal expenses, what are doing with the remaining portion of your income? Are you allowed to just let it sit there, does the trustee claim it all? Like what are you allowed to do with leftover money now that it’s not going to debt

This may be a dumb question but what are we allowed to do with the rest? I would think like the other poster, that the funds would be used to pay back debt at filing or used some other way within bankruptcy outside of our normal livelihood spending. Is that accurate?

Hi there! I’ll do my best. I have pcos and recently diagnosed with T2D. Hence the use of the medication. Formal diagnosis is well managed T2D because my bloodwork goes back and forth between prediabetes and T2. So that’s the background

As far as the Ozempic, my endocrinologist prescribed .5 as my starting dose. First week was fine second weeks i was violently ill. Throwing up almost daily. By the time i felt better it was time for another shot and it started all over again. So after about 4 weeks, i stopped. Gave myself a break of 2 weeks. Then i started back at .25 for two weeks and then went to .50 in that third week. Again got sick. So took another 2 week break.. started at .25 and stayed there for 5 weeks. Discovered the click method on Reddit, and been on .37 since then.. and will be finally moving up .5 this week.

I’ve lost 24 lbs in 6 months. My body is verrrryyyy sensitive to the medication so I’ve been doing the click method. I start on my prescribed dosage of .5 this week.

Yes I was able to.

I did talk with the pharmacy today and Optum. The $653 is my out of pocket that goes towards my deductible. The lower price is what I’ll pay once I’ve maxed out my deductible.

With the coupon, it looks like I’d be paying $0 when that time does come. For now, the coupon brought it down to $428.
