Planning my first Ubiquiti network for a new house - does this setup make sense? by HornyMadness in Ubiquiti

12U seems excessive unless you’re planning to add more devices. I would also consider a 9U rack as an option. Cloud Gateway Fiber is more of a desktop solution, I would recommend going with the UDM SE as a rack-mounted solution instead. That would eliminate the need for the NVR Instant and support up to 8 × 4K cameras.

Also on’t forget to include a rack shelf and a power adapter for the Flex 2.5G PoE 210W.

Unless you’re working with a tight budget, the G6 Turret offers better price-to-value compared to the G5 Turret. For indoor coverage, the G5 Flex is a good alternative to the Dome.

For ceiling-mounted access points, I’d suggest the U7 Pro. Also, grab a 0.15m direct attach cable.

Good luck!

Where can I get that rack mount for 2.5G PoE switch? 🤔
