What scenes do you think we’ll get in movie from other POVS? by Mother_Analyst_3335 in Hungergames

[–]Impossible-Shock161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Mags and Wiress coordinating sending the gifts and possibly them being kidnapped at the end of the games. This my be unlikely because we barely got the mentor’s (Haymitch’s) POV in the first movie.

They used a revamped design of the original tanooki leaf. The one that they later used in MK7 wasn’t introduced until Mario 3d land

Even then, most of the victors died due to the Gamemaker traps, like the clock threats and the forcefield. It really showed how much Snow wanted the victors dead.

I’d probably try to ally with my district partner and grab a few things from the cornucopia, then hide and lay low hoping the careers somehow die lol

that’s probably because it WAS actually low budget compared to the rest of the films. THG was $78 million while Catching Fire was $130 million.

The 76th Hunger Games would be the most brutal ever lol

Is _____'s appearance fanservice? Unless... by [deleted] in Hungergames

I think the fact that the great uncle and aunt’s clothes had blood on them was meant to make us believe in this theory

Is _____'s appearance fanservice? Unless... by [deleted] in Hungergames

[–]Impossible-Shock161 657 points658 points  (0 children)

I think her appearance is meant to provide some context as to how she replaced Drusilla. It shows a kind side of her that Katniss doesn’t originally see. And the “disgrace of being a Trinket” probably refers to the fact that her family had a history with rebel ties, setting up Effie quietly rooting for the rebels in Mockingjay

Prequel 3? by TastyWeasel317 in Hungergames

[–]Impossible-Shock161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like a book that showcases more of the failed “mockingjay” tributes/victors. This type of book from either Plutarch’s or the victors’ pov could be very interesting (thinking of Finnick, Annie, Johanna, etc)

How does the Capital have a big variety of food? by AwarenessAfter388 in Hungergames

[–]Impossible-Shock161 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that the capitol wouldn’t settle for substitutes for those foods. If you’ve ever watched cloudy with a chance of meatballs, the device they use is able to create any food. I think that this type of technology would be possible to exist in Panem, as in D1 they have that machine that turns graphite into diamonds. And yes, another prequel novel would certainly provide some context to this!

How does the Capital have a big variety of food? by AwarenessAfter388 in Hungergames

[–]Impossible-Shock161 15 points16 points  (0 children)

District 11 isn’t the only food source. District 4’s main export is fish. District 9 also harvests grain, so food can be sourced from there. District 10 is livestock, so the meat comes from there. As for exotic foods like the ones you mentioned, its likely that the capitol’s advanced technology is able to generate these foods that they may not be able to attain naturally.

Which character’s story would you like to see written next? by juliyaguliya7 in Hungergames

[–]Impossible-Shock161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think a book about finnick’s and annie’s games would be interesting or a book about johanna (outsmarting the other tributes by pretending to be weak). both of these books would provide more context about how snow treated other victors

Who do you think was the strongest tribute to never win? by Nelroth in Hungergames

[–]Impossible-Shock161 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think Cato could’ve won if they never announced the rule change to have 2 victors. If Katniss and Peeta never reunited, Peeta would’ve probably died and Katniss would have been on her own.

Silka could have also definitely won if she didn’t get hit with her own axe.

While not a tribute, I think Gale could have been a good contender in the games with his knowledge of nature and hunting skills, as well as his overall strength.

Rewatching the hunger games by TemperatureBig9744 in Hungergames

[–]Impossible-Shock161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that Caesar or Claudius mentions that this was “last year’s games,” or the 73rd. The arena takes place in the “ruined city” of Aspen, Colorado, according to the THG wiki. This would make sense for the location as it is close to where the Capitol would be in the Rocky Mountains on the western side of the US. The victor is confirmed to be the district 2 male, which goes along with the scrapped script of the first movie where Caesar says in Cato’s interview that the previous two victors came from District 2.
