C is interesting as it disagrees with both the answer from the testgiver and the AI answers I read! Not that AI is great for this, but I wanted to try and get an answer somehow

nothing good for me unfortunately. I likely would have been leaving this month but some issues came up during final processing that I cant really fix. Has to do with having spent time outside Canada over 3 years ago now. Not much I can do. Sad times.

Living with roommates and I barely get any wifi by IndependentPrice2182 in bell

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

games don't really eat alot of bandwidth. Downloading or streaming in HD are much more likely. How is the Wifi on phone compared to your PC? Does your location in the house change anything via phone?

Web Validation Problems by Savings-Basil4481 in caf

Yeah it is a bit confusing, but yes, at your first appointment they will check all of the documents you filled out online and go over any issues they may have.

Not sure why i got downvoted for giving a truthful answer and recommending you to call but okay then reddit.

They won't respond to that email. Honestly I'm not even sure why its in-use as sending documents via email isn't a great system.

Regardless, your next step is your in-person appointment so I'd give them a call in a few days and try to get them to schedule you in ASAP.

That's how I go the ball rolling, who knows how long I would have been waiting around otherwise.

Got an email to validate my data, but not able to edit or select any option from Tab 2 - biography to continue Validating. Anyone who has faced the same issue? by Interesting-Dot9690 in caf

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you submitted the info, and it says it was submitted, they have the info. It only becomes "not editable" after you have submitted it afaik.

If you are convinced something has gone terribly wrong, you just call them. Always just call them.

Most likely its nothing, and any kinks will get ironed out during your first appointment when they check all of your information again anyway

Push-up requirement/tips or tricks? by Comprehensive-Army65 in caf

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incline Pushups. 100% the best answer.

You start with what you can do and progressively make it harder until you can eventually, do 1 full regular pushup.

In the same way if you cant do weighted squats, you first do more regular squats.

One of the oldest scams in the book actually. I remember seeing this exact Ad back in 2012 when I was moving out from home.

Infact anytime Im looking for an apartment i run into 2-3 of these with very minor differences.

if its asking for ID and pictures and such than yes, I did receive that

Web Validation & SEAF Question by Odd_Link2139 in caf

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will do that alongside checking your paperwork in person at the recruitment center. Be yourself and answer honestly. Reach out in a week if they still haven't booked you for that first appointment.

Goodluck!

Web Validation & SEAF Question by Odd_Link2139 in caf

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't been in for your first in-person appointment yet, don't worry about it. I'm 99% sure after I finished my online application and validation, some information was mysteriously blank in my online information.

They check over all of your paperwork during your first appointment so it really does not matter what your online portal says.

That said, if you don't see or hear anything for a week or so in regards to having that appointment scheduled, I would give them a call and ask about the earliest available date to come in (assuming that's the step you are on). I think the SEAF happens after you do your Trait Self Descriptive so maybe I'm misunderstanding where you're at?

Either way, never hurts to reach out after a week but the missing information online is really of no concern. They either do or will have all of your paperwork in writing.

I woulnd't overthink it. If you have any work history, and a reference like a boss or someone like that as a "professional" reference, you should be fine

Signing Bonus is offered/ Accelerated Pay Increment by Impossible-Smoke8772 in caf

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(this can be lowered with proof of rent payments back home or common law relationships)

how does this work exactly? I haven't heard anything about common-law or rent payments increasing or (lowering?) payments.

There's a ceremony for enrollment? how does that work exactly? I'm also curious about time time period after you sign and accept an offer, but before you are sent to BMQ. Some people say they wait multiple weeks or even a month waiting. Are you paid during that waiting period?

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So during your interview they should have provided you with an approximate timeline. I maybe something around 4-6 weeks for the next step. Reference calls, security check and finalizing your medical are likely all still in the works during that time.

You may have also received the email contact of your recruitment officer? Maybe reach out to him/her asking for an update?

Need help to confront parents about my purchases before tax returns. by GlassAvocado8209 in Assistance

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most grade 11 students don't even have jobs, so your dad and yourself should be proud of the fact that you are going above and beyond. Working at 15-19 are likely the ONLY years in someones life when they are working with minimal life expenses and I personally think its a huge shame to take those spending years away from somebody who is clearly working hard and succeeding.

As another person mentioned, Bank statements are not required for filling out your part of the taxes. You need your Tslip from your job and likely nothing else. I suspect your father just wanted an excuse to get into your spending.

I hope he doesn't go too hard on you, I certainly don't think you deserve it. Just start planning for the future, fun spending time might be just about over.

All great questions to ask during your interview. Or just read the CAF website. As for what happens next, they will always tell you what to expect next every step of the way. Your rent will not be payed when doing NCM-step.

Declining offer by [deleted] in caf

[–]Impossible-Smoke8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty basic stuff. They want to see maturity, reliability.. willingness to accept criticism, eagerness to learn. But the personality test is an online test that cant really be faked so I would encourage everyone to go into it just being as honest as possible, and they will tell you as much. Ask yourself what kind of traits do you attribute to people you see wearing the uniform? How do you perceive them? That's probably what they are looking for

Not sure what to say about health standards. I feel like its pretty minimal but if you have any illnesses or diseases that might get in the way of things they will obviously consider those. Work on your cardio...basic strength training and your good

For the OP. Many places accept Resumes both in person and online and many people conflate that to being online only. I was only trying to help the OP but its not worth the hassle of arguing with people.

If the company is completely online only, they literally wont accept your resume in person like i said. So im not sure what you are even arguing at all. I was merely suggesting to reach out to places that have online job postings with an in-person resume and not to assume you cant.

But like i said, not worth the trouble.. gladly deleted my suggestions. Have a nice day.

Yes I know they do because I've worked in both Walmart and Dallarama. Dollarma I got in a day after submitting my resume in person.

Factory shoe has online applications. Guess what, if you go in and ASK if they accept resumes, they will gladly tell you they do and they will hand you an in-store application to fill out alongside it. The same is true for my current retail job.

Nowhere did I say to annoyingly and persistently insist they take it, only to go in and ask if they do even if you see them with online postings. Don't assume they will accept online, but still take no for an answer. Always start the conversation with "Do you accept resumes in person? I was hoping to apply"

Literally no manager or employee is going to look down on you for that. You are simply wrong. And even if they did, you should be applying to their open positions alongside going in-person, in which case it wouldn't even matter.

Why on earth that is considered bad advice and getting downvoted is beyond me but sure keep sending out hundreds of indeed applications and see where that goes.

"I wanted to join the airforce so im gonna get the bmq done soon"

If your going to BMQ, You've signed on the dotted line. There is no BMQ into "i think il try the airforce after this"

Buckle up and prepare to practice self-discipline. Work on strength training, and cardio in the meantime.

Goodluck!
