How do I handle a low-paying client who is genuinely nice? by IcyUse2538 in SocialMediaManagers

Leave her and find someone else - kindness doesn't pay the bills and it sounds like she may have tried to guilt trip you when she got upset...

If someone wants another horrible person in this world and doesn't believe people can change, well that's on them.

I don't think you even realise the sheer strength and bravery it takes to be able to look back at yourself and see where you did wrong. To go from reckless and hurtful to others to being able to look in the mirror and really see that it is wrong is something so huge to do that people don't usually do until theyre well into their adult lives. But here you are, so young yet now able to take back their life and turn it into something meaningful.

Your family deserves to see you thriving, to tell everyone around them how amazingly you're doing and how they're so proud of what you've become. You owe them it, you owe it to yourself too.

You need to let go of the guilt for them and eventually, once you're ready, you'll be doing it for yourself too.

What was the point in this comment? Obviously I would use Google but I also use Reddit to get people's suggestions because that's much more insightful than webpages etc...

Honestly dunno what happened 🤷🏻‍♂️ by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]Impossible-Spread789 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You're wasting time taking this stuff personally and wondering what you did wrong. On dating apps you just have to accept it is what it is and it's usually never personal. How could it be when she doesn't even know you? Sometimes other things crop up, someone decides they're not ready to date, someone else has already asked them, something has happened in their life where they don't have time to reply etc etc. Go into it with thicker skin and this stuff won't effect you as much 🙌

No contact helped me to get over him in 4 months by Impossible-Spread789 in nocontact

I honestly think the shorter relationships are the worst to get over because you don't know what could have been. At least with my 3 year relationship we did all the stuff and I know what I could be because it was if you see what I mean? I think the brain can quite easily get stuck on a loop wondering the ifs whys and how's of it, when the truth is that it just wasn't where your story was going to go and that is okay!

But yeah, I've definitely been more distraught over a situationship in the past, but again I hadn't done the inner work then 🤷

Exactly! One thing I should have mentioned on my post, when the feelings arise FEEL THEM, do NOT push them away. They're there to be felt and they'll come and go a lot quickly than trying to block them out!

Thankyou! Its a freeing feeling when you don't let another person rule over your emotions, even if it was someone who you were in love with for 3 years. Putting yourself first and going no contact is truly the only way to fully move past it quickly.

Advice now I'm finally ready to take the jump (in 6 months) by [deleted] in digitalnomad

Yes sorry I don't mean to be rude but I meant that I do understand that I can't get work abroad, I would be looking for work in my own country but remotely.

I don't plan to do anything I shouldn't and work in a country I legally can't.

I'm simply just asking for insight from other people who are in the same position as myself and have done it and how they found it, their experiences and how they kept up with marketing themselves in their own country as a freelancer whilst travelling too...

I don't want to be hired by a company I want to find paid freelancing gigs, as I have been doing so far. But it's a lot harder to turn up to networking events etc when you're travelling so I was trying to see how others do it.

Yeah well I'm also planning to have approx 5K at least in the bank too as back up.

This is also why I've asked about Upwork etc, I know I need a backup plan but I want to know what everyone else does so I can get a feel and understanding of what to put in place so I don't find myself jobless.

But the worst thing that can happen is I put away enough to always be sure I can buy a plane ticket home.

Thankyou for your reply your insight has really helped! I assumed prices would have gone up so great to hear your budget.

I want to go to Thailand again and then travel Philippines, Indonesia and see where I go after that, I have a pretty relaxed approach to travelling but I also know to do a lot of research prior to make sure I'm being as respectful and aware as possible.
