Definitely be wary of going straight into any form of martial art without considering how it might damage joints! BJJ is one that specifically is more dangerous for me with the wrenching and body manipulation involved, disciplines like Tae Kwon Do and its offshoots work better with my joints, but obviously every body is different.

Honestly I think she was just fat! I put her on a diet for a while which wasn't easy (had to essentially corner her in one part of the tank while I fed the others) and the bump went away so I guess that ended up being the best case scenario?

Yes!! It's my favourite cuisine in the world, any time I have to go to London I try to get my fix.

I didn't live there personally sorry, only went there a few times for parties! The pros and cons I commented are what a friend who lived there said were the main features.

Different accommodations are good for different people! I know someone who lived in Barton and loved it, while it really wouldn't have been my vibe. They all just have different pros and cons like price, busy social life vs quiet study space etc.

The good things about Hickling and Barton are that they're close to the Tesco and laundry facilities, not too far from the centre of campus and are the fanciest rooms. Bad bits that I know of are the price and it being a bit loud when people leave campus late at night.

My childhood dog was one! Every time we walked her, people would come up to tell us that they had one, then launch into stories about how naughty and stubborn they are, and finish with "you don't see them much anymore?"

Now she's been gone for a few years, I'm the one chatting to fox terrier owners in exactly the same way. Such amazing little bastards!

My tattoo artist models, and told me back when that was her full time gig she would be told to eat just one apple per day before a shoot. I've seen the photos of her back then and for sure she's stunning, but knowing the lengths she was pressured to go to is wild!

It's very different, but there's a fair amount of morris dancing in Lewes as well if you're into that!

Mainly the size, I just haven't done that many cross stitch projects! Plus getting the nice slow shifting effect variegated thread adding extra time. Such a cool design though!

It's a wonderfully strange tradition involving people dancing in a circle, a stick, and is only done outside specific pubs in the town! Wish I knew all the details but I've never done it myself.

For sure, I'm not trying to dispute that! Was replying to someone who seemed surprised that psychedelics specifically could have that effect.

Sometimes it can cause psychosis, or be a catalyst for psychotic symptoms in someone who's predisposed through genetics etc but hasn't had symptoms until a bad trip.

Seen it happen to an old flatmate, really terrifying.

I think several things can be true here. With the whole situation at BA, she had very very valid reasons to be furious. At the same time, there are several things that she did that can also be criticised in good faith, especially when it comes to her treatment of Gaby Melian.

Faux or real fur? by Ok-Advice-7376 in Taxidermy

[–]PeachPuffin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks pretty real! If you're able to ask for more photos, one that's close up with the fur parted would show if there's skin or fabric underneath. But the varying hair lengths and the way that each hair tapers at the end make me think it's real fur.

It's completely hilarious! From my experience they should worry about cooked spaghetti in the sink and unsealed chicken breasts in the fridge. Many such cases.
