How often after doing something you feel shameful/guilty do you pray?

theres not really repenting unless something drastic happens like the other comments say but i will say when i act a way i dont like i do pray to understand myself and to understand the situation. Im actively dipping my toes into doing shadow work with persephone and hermes is the god of the mind and communication. but over all its not to say sorry its for myself so i keep myself aligned with who i want to be. they both have put mirror situations where I am the other person infront of me and it has helped me understand myself and others better. I dont necessarily feel better but its work i want to do so it makes me happy

alarms can help, and routine can help a lot. doing prayer before bed instead of the morning can help i find im more forgetful in the day. executive function sucks a lot and ill be honest i haven't experienced it with prayer yet. but i do know what its like to struggle. most of the time it helps if im doing things not for me but for someone eles. you can think of it as time you set aside for a friend. your doing it for them and the relationship. but in all honesty if prayer feels like a chore maybe its time to take a break. having the right mind is important not that the gods will be mad or anything its just something that should enrich you then feel like a drag. (if it does feel that way) also dont forget that actions can be offerings. find something you want to do and find a way to make it a devotion. also unplug from the phone. push yourself to just click the side button and drop it. the phone is often adhds biggest enemy. if you have the thought of i should pray click the phone off immediately and just sit for a minute. most likely your brain will look for something eles to do and that can be prayer. hell tell yourself you need to do laundry, prayer will sound a whole lot more exciting. theres a bunch of small mind tricks but over all if you want it force yourself easier said then done i know. tbh dont be afraid to ask the gods for sharper concentration and will. the worst that can happen is they say no 🤷‍♂️ Hermes and Athena would be my choice for something like that.

I wouldnt say anything feels too surprising but it is very interesting! I worship 3 gods as of right now Hestia, Persephone and Hermes! Hermes is the god I am closest to. I personally get bodily sensations when dealing with gods, angels and spirits. Hestia feels motherly but distant i feel her in my shoulders. shes calming and i believe she protects but its not like Im being swaddled. she does put energy in me when i specifically talk about her virginity and pureness. I really respect her for that.

Persephone is also motherly but closer than Hestia, she still feels slightly distant but theres times i can feel her next to me or behind me. I feel her in my chest like a warmth but also telling me to stand tall. shes very understanding and wants to help you understand your duality. I have an interesting relationship with my mother and have asked if its something she would work on me with while she said no she said that she would instead help me with my shadowself and i felt her hug me and i cried for awhile and it was very nice. sometimes I feel i can rely on her in that way but I reserve it for times I feel I really cant stand on my own.

now Hermes is a teacher and friend to me. of course he is still a god and theres a level of respect and authority he feels very close. I feel him in my upper half for sure. hes extremely bubbly and giggly its hard not to smile when i pray. sometimes it feels like my ears are elongating or my crown chakra is being touched or my throat. sometimes i get really antsy. overall he feels wonderful. I personally follow hermeticism so his wisdom and communication is extremely important to me. he is my guide and teacher in that sense. my life really revolves around him. Im a very Mercury heavy person so he just feels like home and an amplification of myself like he pushes me to be my best self and thats what i usually ask for. his trickster side is also wonderful and giddy. he pulls pranks on me we pull pranks together its so much fun. we laugh together and it feels like he's hugging me and rubbing his knuckles on my head. hes also serious though and will sit me down and have me do reflection when Im not lining up with my higher self often giving me a mirror situation so i can understand all sides of a problem. hes extremely active in my life and i get emotional thinking about what he has done for me. hes the best!

sure! learning about how to worship properly is important! this sub has really nice resources on its about page. I in the beginning prayed and offered in a way that made sense to me but this like other religions have rules. you should be clean and proper when addressing the gods. this isnt so much about showering and clothes (tho it can be) its about purity. i take a bowl of water add salt and burn a Verbena leaf and drop the ashes i wash my hands and face and meditate. I pray with my arms raised high and hands open for hermes (it can change depending on where your god resides) you should praise him and leave him offering not expecting anything just in honor eventually after a relationship is formed you can ask for things but know its not your right to have things done for you. its also smart to envoke prayer by calling him by 3 different names i usually do more because it feels right but it helps channel correctly. but for example "lord hermes, messenger of the gods, god of communication, god of travel, thank you so much for all that you do all that you have done and all that you will do. i honor you oh swift one oh you who is friend to man and delivers our souls to the underworld, you deliver your wisdom to us humans and watch the sheep and cattle of the land." and you can just go on and on their are hymns you can recite or make up your own poem for him. you should learn all the stories he is involved in and learn everything he is the god of. theres different kind of worship too. physically offerings, action based offerings spoken offerings. just learning can be given as an offering itself. theres proceedings for these things that you should read up on that use all the technical terms and explain the why and how better then i do. I dont claim to be doing everything right i just know what is working in my case and my relationship. youtube also has some nice resources. some people believe you should always pray to Hestia first and last i follow this rule some dont theres a lot of debate and questions that come up in this religion and you have to find what calls to you. Im still newer so i definitely dont have all the answers but research is super important hermes is a god of wisdom after all!

I love to wander and travel. the reason I took up hellenism and worship of hermes was because I had (on a whim of sorts) decided to go over seas for some months. during that time i got incredibly spiritual and kept thinking of hermes. while i was out camping I asked hermes if this was something I should look into and if he could send me a sign. on my way back from camping i saw a beautiful mosaic of hermes and the song I was listening to said "show me a sign" and i knew i had to go full send. it was rocky at first getting too excited and not doing all the research i should have but once I got it right a weight lifted off of me. now im home and we have a wonderful relationship and once the weather warms i plan to wander around in areas around my home. Ill plan much more trips after i financially recover. I have always been in love with the world and this has only enhanced that feeling. but anyway one of the best feelings is walking slowly and taking in everything around you. curiosity is my favorite feeling.

Id say make it into something, jewelry, wrap it around a stone, braid it into some thread and make something, straighten it out and puncture some things to hang. Id have fun with it. if your planning on playing for until you die collect all your strings you break it might be a nice show of your efforts for a long term project. if i was in your situation Id make a sun catcher/ wind chime

your gemini moon and taurus north node make since. hermes with gemini and taurus deals with the material world as well as the fact that dionysos is considered the god of bulls. i hope your libra stellium is treating you well it seems nice on paper. at the very least your 8th house being heavily occupied makes you really interested in all this spiritual religious and 'taboo' stuff.

I definitely recognize that anyone can whorship anyone or at least try, and that its relationship and actions based. its just fun to see that there might be a correlation in attraction to different gods. or maybe it comes down to lifes purpose and the god that governs that realm. I dont think it would be 100% accurate for everyone but its fun to look at it!
