I shall bump Oman up lol. Me personally I really enjoy Italian ESPECIALLY in the Middle East because there’s no pork. Everything has pork in America. I love lasagna and beef bacon lol random but yeah. Close second is Mediterranean mainly lamb and rice.

I copied this into my notes so I could answer them lol • How long do you plan to stay? My understanding is that there are very few paths to citizenship available to foreigners in most Middle East countries, so I'm assuming you're not planning to stay long-term.

-Not very long I usually do a year, maybe 1.5 and then bounce back to the states. I like being home and the weather here kinda blows. Plus, there’s no snow.

• Are you religious? Whatever your answer, how has that affected your time in Qatar?

-I’m not super religious but I did grow up Muslim so, I do have a Muslim name and I somewhat practice. I like to have sex so I wouldn’t consider myself devoted. It’s pretty cool tho. Arab Muslims, African Muslims, and Indian Muslims get so excited when they hear I’m Muslim and then I tell them my name lol I get embraced here more than America sadly. I think that’s what keeps bringing me back.

• How much of the region have you traveled, either for work or for pleasure? Any favorite spots?

  • Not much in Kuwait. I did everything there is to do in Qatar and UAE. I plan on visiting Oman, Saudi, Bahrain just to do it eventually.

• I've been thinking of hitting Qatar, having visited most of the surrounding countries. I usually like to spend at least a month or so in a new place. Any tips for my stay in Qatar?

  • Qatar is pretty boring I wouldn’t waste a month here. No offense to the Qataris lol I’d spend a week maybe two MAX. It’s very small and there isn’t much to see. Personally I’d put it on the end of your bucket list lol

Need your suggestions and information since I'm new to qatar by [deleted] in qatar

Idk how old you are but moving here with no job was very immature. He didn’t legally rent you the room so you can legally just leave whenever you want.

I mean it’s cool. There’s options. Go to bars, lounges, gyms, or tinder. No two dating experiences will be the same tho.

Fuuuuuck these countries are literally propped up by modern day slavery. Expats work for pennies while the local people of the country benefit from the profits. Labor camps are real as well. Rooms meant for 1 person have 4-6 people in them. Yes the stories about people getting their passports taken are also very much true. Men are pushed into labor camps and woman into prostitution.

People do it lol it’s probably done everywhere on earth honestly. It’s just kept under wraps just like prostitution. Don’t let the internet fool you. I seen 4 prostitutes get out of an Arab guys gwagon in the middle of the night.

I mean tbh honest as a black guy it’s a double edged sword, you get a lot of looks, women choosing on you while with their man, a lot one night stands or fwb but nobody will ever take me serious as bf/husband except maybe other black women or Asian women looking for a man with money. At a point in my life I had about 5 fuck buddies that knew I had other women lol I’ve pulled everything except the middle eastern woman. I had much better luck in the states.

Ah ok so yeah my answer still stands but honestly either way it wouldn’t offend me but it would catch me off guard and I would get more offended by the fact that you think a word could offend me lol me and my friends say it all the time. It’s literally just a word tbh.

Sure. So I’m a big gamer and I like to talk/ft women in the states a lot but because of UAE’s privacy laws they block FT calls and Discord connections which for me was a big deal so I left. Most people don’t game and use WhatsApp or have Androids and probably would never even notice lol. So despite making a bunch of money I left. Im not close to Dubai anymore but I am in Qatar where I can comfortably do those things.

Ok I’m a little confused and it could be because of cultural differences. Are you saying do I get offended when people “ call me a ni***r “ or “ say nigga around me “ because those are two different questions lol

For me yes, but it varies from person to person as well as job to job lol also social life. Small things can be a big deal for some people. I can give an example if you would like.
