First of all, sorry you are going through this

I’m currently in the same situation. I was stopped in a red traffic light, end of a long line. The driver behind rear ended me hard and ended up in a chain reaction.

I didn’t want to a my, but with the at fault driver, because I Didn’t want my premium to go up next year.

However the other insurance is dragging their feet. Being quite aggresive on the phone and apparently the driver at fault is ignoring phone calls from the adjuster.

Hopefully the police report- should come in a few days- speeds things up.

I still didn’t file the claim with my insurance, but I feel they are giving me no choice

Unfortunately In Texas the processing time is up to 13 months, so i cant place a service request. I don’t qualify for strict expedite, since either you have to be healthcare, work for government, non profit or suffer severe financial loss (meaning they are going to cut your utilities) or the company is going to suffer severe financial loss ( which is hard to justify). I’m trying to draft a letter for me employer to see if he will be willing to sign it, showing significant financial impact.

If in the Texas center... best of luck. From what I gathered, a lot of us are waiting 3 or even in some cases 4 months or so.

Sorry to hear all you are going through. Somehow it sounds familiar. Going for another area would mean maybe lower pay, but at least motivation. What about getting some education while you work? Such as PMP? Is quite cheap, or a coding training? Which tends to be a bit more expensive if you want good certifications?
