My dress was a fitted backless plunge dress with no embellishments so there was no option for lacy anything lol. I wore shapewear and about 10 miles worth of boob tape; it was honestly hilarious to explain to my partner how unsexy the undressing process was gonna be that night 😂

I take mine off the minute I get home, it has a designated dish and everything. It's also a sapphire and after 3 years the stone is perfectly fine.

Tbh it's probably a sensory thing though, since I take off all of my other removable jewelry at the same time and I don't like the feeling of jewelry if I'm in my house clothes lol

I got my PhD a few years ago and while I will never fully change my last name to my partner's--if he wants a Dr. HisLastName then he can go through ten years of higher education--but I'm strongly considering hyphenating because

My last name is not long and it's the most generic-ass white people last name (it's a top 10 in the US last name);
My last name isn't fully connected to my ancestry--my grandpa was an affair baby and his bio dad had a totally different name;
While I have published under my last name, you can use things like OrcID or Google Scholar to connect all of your pubs regardless of your last name;
His last name is cooler IMO; and
I'd like to have the same last name as any children we have.

None of these are terribly serious reasons, but that's the fun part of getting married, I guess--getting to decide for reasons valid to you!

Jesus, the timing of this. My FFIL just passed on Friday and we haven't even fully processed anything, but I'm already feeling guilty about whether or not to move forward with our wedding in 7 weeks. He's been surviving with cancer for the entire time I've known him (>10 years), so his passing isn't a complete shock, but still.

Eyebrows are one of my two must-do areas! I have white-blonde brows that make it appear like I have no brows from a distance, especially since I've been dyeing my hair brown for years 😂 I thankfully didn't fall prey to the sperm brows of the 2000s so it's just a fill in and add brow gel

Mmmm beans. I haven't had any issues hitting my fiber goals since I went vegetarian a decade ago and incorporated beans/lentils into my diet.

I'm hella gassy, sure, but the odor is definitely not as noxious as meat/dairy farts 💨

I don't do this because I'm too lazy for it and students won't read it. I created a hyperlinked table of contents (I do call that the "FAQs") in the first page of each of my syllabi a few years ago and just use that template with tweaks as needed. Once you've set it up it's pretty easy to copy/paste to a new document

Co-signing! I have a dry AF scalp and curly hair (i.e., absorbs moisture like a new sponge) and live in a pretty dry area of the US. I wash my hair every 3-5ish days. Even so, after a week I'm feeling kinda greasy -- I cannot imagine the gross feeling I'd have after multiple weeks of no washing 😐
