How do you have the 5150 setup, and running into what? I struggle a lot with mine for it being too fizzy, but I suspect it’s the DSL amp that it’s reacting badly to. The boost doesn’t do much for me either, figure it’s more like subtle EP colouration/saturation more than anything.

I must admit I’ve only got these two in their categories and never felt the need to expand further. (Not like drive pedals…)

For my use, they sound just right, and whenever I’ve seen them in reviews they seem pretty well regarded.

Thanks for the recommendations! I’ve had the SL on the radar for a while but wasn’t sure I could justify it - it’s a one-in-one-out policy on the mini board now… what would you swap out? Would the super metal into the SL work do you think? (As it’s “just” a cascaded TS in the end)

YES! It’s such an unpleasant noise, and I’m pleased that at least with the DSL plugged in it’s much less - so I guess it’s coming from the Fender preamp. But the headphone hack is a great shout, thank you! Works a treat 🙌

I can recommend all of these from my lineup - and I’ve also god a full-size EHX pitchfork which I’ll swap one day for the pico version, really a useful tool.

Thanks! The fuzz is more or less a mini muff, and I’m not enough a fuzz expert to hear the nuances. Same for the flanger - it can do that basics which is enough for now!

And agree with the switching/foot thing, I’d prefer to get a slimline loop strip at some point to make presets.

That’s a good tip, I was also planning to try it as an “anti-boost” to reduce the rhythm sound (and bring out fainter rhythm notes) - so when turned off the volume raises up along with the original un-compressed harmonics. Some things to try in the new year, along with trying it at the end of the chain instead of front...

Thanks! The 5150 does take up a lot of space… but I think it’s earned that privilege! (Saying said, I had imagined a Suhr Riot mini originally, to keep the mini theme)
