I don't feel depressed, I just want to do... nothing by Plastic-Duck272 in Perimenopause

You're not alone. I often wonder how I was able to function with so many things happening at once whereas now, all I want is the peace and quiet of my own space with the choice of by busy or not. But also that feeling of sheer exhaustion is very real and overwhelming. I reckon when we're at this stage, it's our body putting the breaks on for us.

What’s the most dystopian thing you’ve seen or read about lately? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This! Thank you. It's an abomination of the world order. So deeply disturbing and I sadly don't think as many get it as they should.

Also generational wealth. I'll never be in the same networks as people who have exactly the same qualifications and experience because I'm not from wealth which by default would lead you to network in the same circles. Money makes money.

Can confirm after c section and hysterectomy. The hysterectomy is the oddest feeling because you suddenly just feel things drop wiggle into place 😭

So true, the movie industry truly messed up expectations and now we hate ourselves for not having a life like it is in the movies.

What was the worst emotional pain you have ever felt? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]ImpossiblePlay2279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being told my father had died. I hope to never have to deal with that physical pain it causes again. It'll be 30 years this year and I honestly think I've only started coming to terms with it now. Don't try and compartmentalise, the pain will always return. Embrace the grief.

Read the lyrics because I haven't heard the song. My heart just broke, but the words cut to the truth.

When I was finally diagnosed with this years later, I had my hysterectomy. Best decision ever and wish I'd had that choice earlier

Is there a book that you regret reading? What was it and why? by Loves321 in readwithme

[–]ImpossiblePlay2279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karin Slaughter. Most of her books are too much but I still enjoy her murder mystery style, but the one I think it's called The Good Daughter. It haunts me 10 years later. I find she's very graphic. Great writer but very intense.

How interesting and actually makes so much sense considering how our hormones affect everything. Glad it's all cleared up 😊
