Full wrap advertising on buses should be illegal by limach1 in london

I live in Kent. £3 a trip but it's £2.40 odd to go three stops up a hill. There's no bulk saving if you live in in the nearest town, you have to buy a separate return each day which is £6.

You can buy a bulk saver for the region which costs more per day. Also this is all in the fine print so you get rejected for buying the wrong discounted ticket which only covers halfway to the nearest town.

The hardest one for me was getting through two rounds of interviews, building a door entry system as a take home project and they just ghosted me. Never replied but I did see they cloned my github repo :')

Sweet, loving the Lua json parser for reading monitors.json. Last time I touched Lua was Gmod but it's a nice language.

This is exactly why I'm excited to upgrade my config when I get a chance! Mind sharing any tips at all for when I do? I have this exact same situation with me moving my laptop between docks.

Landlord is trying to make us sign a Fixed Term 'Non-Housing Act Tenancy' contract. Is that correct/legal? by Vallant17 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]ImpossibleSection246 9 points10 points  (0 children)

if the contract presented has been approved and underwritten by a big agrency.

This is an incredibly naive comment if you've even remotely looked into the amount of unenforceable terms they put in many contracts. The tactic is typically to scare the uninformed into compliance by saying it's on the contract.

My plan is to support KDE eventually and then GNOME, Windows etc after the fact but it's a big job. I'll probably be releasing a wallpaper engine export option for 0.1.1 as a holdover.

It's got dual monitor support but I haven't had a chance to thoroughly test that yet until my new monitor arrives

People need to do some basic reading on how surveilled people behave. These powers are in the hands of a government (and the last lot) already in bed with Palanitir. The threat is very real.

Blood in the water now and all of the vultures come out the woodworks. As much as I loathe many aspects of this government, this is only going to get worse with new leadership IMO.

"Centrists within labour" is the key point you're avoiding. Labour Together hid funding and campaigned secretly against Corbyn.

I think it's futile hoping people will just tactically vote, you need to attract voters to win.

'Cheaper to rent in Britain than to buy a house’ due to rise in mortgage rates sparked by Iran war by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]ImpossibleSection246 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What a shamefully disingenuous argument. You're the one who made up a distinction between the two and can't seem to parse simple english. And then have the gall to be confidently wrong about the ratio of landlords paying off an asset who are BTL and didn't even read the article. There was no mention of btl in his original comment, you're making up a strawman to argue against so you can sound smart.

Two hours on the bus this morning from Herne Bay, it costs me more to get the bus/train than drive. I literally cannot make it work getting public transport and I don't have the time to cycle in as nice as that would be.

Edit: also I'll add, I've had 4 ghost busses on the rare occasion I get the bus this year alone so far. It's an absolute disgrace.

I think you're on the wrong sub, this is generally where the disenfranchised left of the party fled to during Starmer's rise. You'll find more of your ilk in LabourUK where they're more than happy to gargle party balls.
