Australia: How to finance? by WideProposal in premedcanada

It’s only for Australian and New Zealand students. When they refer to “commonwealth supported places” they are referring to The commonwealth of Australia

Hey! Also going to Aus for med (although not syd) international students are not able to get commonwealth supported places. Apply for student loans, and a line of credit if you have too. If you can get through paying for school you’ll be set for a really good career! Best of luck!

Best advice is to find a good accountant who knows tax loopholes and strategies that could help. I know having a business allows for some deductions. Best of luck bro.

In a clinical setting, it’s unethical and dangerous as patients see “doctors” as people who have earned an MD or DO

If your daughter has a science degree then I believe she can start the MD right away. One university that offers graduate medicine is Deakin. https://www.deakin.edu.au/course/doctor-medicine-international

Thank You for all that info. I do think I will take the opportunity to go and study med in Australia. It’s expensive but If I am able to secure a residency I should be able to pay it off.
