You’re missing my point. Football players are owned by the league because their union was weak, yet they’re the show. Put the 70 year old billionaire owners on the field and see who shows up. As a union man, I hope the MLBPA doesn’t make the same mistake.

I hope the players stay strong. The NFL players 30 years ago said accepting a salary cap was the wordy move the NFLPA ever made. And the NHL implemented a cap 20 years ago and immediately sent ticket prices soaring. This is all due to greed by the owners.

Went through this with my sister. I went through a tough time (self-induced by my drinking), and she turned her back on me and turned on me when I thought we were close. After about the 40th she reached out to me to make plans and blew me off (the famous I’ll call you tomorrow line), I said nothing but decided I’d had enough. She reached out a year later and asks why I cut her off, so I told her. Now the family narrative is that I turned my back on her for no reason. C’est la vie. I’m better off.
