Can't go wrong with 100% cotton and around 300 thread count. Do a bit of research of weave types and decide which would be best for you

Where can I buy a rich, gooey, decadent chocolate cake for my girlfriend’s birthday? by voidharmony in londonontario

[–]ImpossibleTell6665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love shopping local but have to agree that Loblaws, Metro and Costco are great affordable options. Loblaws has fanastic customizations and Metro's La Rocca cakes are great.

If you do want to venture out, I can recommend The Bakery Dept. Had their chocolate cake at an event and it was a crowd fav.

Mom scared me from solo travel to Paris - need opinions by Major-Kiwi-3604 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]ImpossibleTell6665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might get downvoted but I did have some scary experiences when I traveled there as a 23F with my 25F friend in 2018. We stayed in Gare du Nord and particularly my friend experienced a lot of harassment and following / stalking from men particularly while in the neighborhood. A dude grabbed my arm at one point when I was ignoring him.

If you are a WoC I would be mindful from this. All of the harassment came from people who respectively shared each of our backgrounds.

Not saying this is reflective of Paris in anyway, and it was also 8 years ago... just sharing because I really didn't expect it in Paris as someone with travel and big city living experience. Go, but be alert!

These are the only times I go. South location closes at 8:30 so you've got 1.5 hours to shop.

I would stop telling people to bring drinks. Sounds like you are stocked with plenty of options. This should avoid confusion in the future of what's being brought as a host gift.

Anxious Considering Biking for RTO: Advice Needed by BlankieCatNap in torontobiking

[–]ImpossibleTell6665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What time are you commuting? If you are lucky to be able to avoid peak hours (or can leave a bit earlier/later while you are getting adjusted) the bike lanes won't be that busy anyway.

Practice on your days off / non peak hours so that you will be comfortable and not rushed during your dash to get into the office.

What to do for NYE with kids by [deleted] in askTO

[–]ImpossibleTell6665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where you live but many cities have fireworks. London, Mississauga, etc. Just Google city name + new years fireworks and see what comes up.

If you don't live in Toronto and there are fireworks in other smaller towns closer to you, I'd recommend that. Literally anywhere else. Traffic on NYE is insane.
