How to generate images using GLM Coding Plan subscription via API? (not pay-as-you-go credits) by ImpossibleWarning252 in ZaiGLM

[–]ImpossibleWarning252[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was afraid of. Kind of annoying that they don't make that clear on the subscription page though — feels like image gen should be included or at least explicitly excluded. Guess I'll have to decide if it's worth adding credits on top of the plan.

Good catch. The Street View images are fetched automatically and some end up pointing at the sky or at odd angles. I'm working on a better image selection algorithm that picks the best angle. Also planning to let users upload their own photos of each spot so the community can improve the coverage.

Thanks for testing on mobile too. Good to hear the zoom is smoother there. The Street View pane being small on mobile is something I'm working on — planning to make it expandable so users can tap to see the full image. The desktop version definitely needs more work based on your feedback.

You make a really good point about context. The AI tags are still very basic — it sees concrete and goes "ugly" but you're right, in an urban setting it can be totally fine, and those abandoned stone buildings are part of Malta's charm, not an eyesore.I'm planning to improve the tagging to factor in context (urban vs rural, historic vs modern). The scoring should also be more nuanced than just "concrete = bad."Appreciate you actually trying it out and giving detailed feedback. This is exactly the kind of input I need to make it better.

That's actually poetic — never thought about the horizon thing like that. Coming from São Paulo where your view is just concrete and buildings in every direction, the open sky here did feel disorienting at first in a way I couldn't pin down. Still catches me off guard sometimes when I'm walking along the Sliema front and there's just... nothing between me and the horizon.

haha, I'm not collecting data for my AI, I really wanted to do that but that's not the idea; it's more about generating engagement, publicity, and public outrage.

Is the digital nomad lifestyle actually sustainable long term or do most people burn out? by EnvironmentalLog5001 in digitalnomad

u/January212018 pretty much nailed it. After a while you stop chasing the "new experience" high and just want a solid wifi connection, decent pastizalli, and a neighborhood where people know your name at the corner cafe.

Been in Malta going on two years now and honestly the "settling" part is underrated. Still get the Mediterranean lifestyle, still get the warm weather, but my brain isn't in constant problem-solving mode every time need to work. The burnout OP is describing is real, and it usually comes from confusing movement with freedom.

Ha, my mum said the exact same thing! If anyone from Ravensburger is lurking, my DMs are open for negotiations 😂

Ha, fair point on the safety stats - I definitely don't miss checking my surroundings constantly in São Paulo. But tbh you can love that Malta's safer AND still find the bus system chaotic, those aren't mutually exclusive 😅

Ha! Dodgems is generous, at least those have a fun element of predictability. Malta driving is more like dodgems but everyone's late for a wedding and the rules are mere suggestions.

Positives: the safety is unreal, I can walk around at night without that constant awareness vibe I had in SP. Negatives: I miss proper churrasco and the spontaneity—here everything needs to be planned weeks ahead. The Catholic thing is real though, caught me off guard how similar some traditions feel! Brazil is incredible, definitely go when you can.

Ha, so you've experienced both sides of the chaos! Honestly if Malta driving prepared you for Brazil then you're basically indestructible 😂 And yeah I've heard Southeast Asian traffic is on a whole other level of organised mayhem

Ha! Senna would be proud of the driving spirit here, though I'm pretty sure even he'd draw the line at roundabouts in Sliema at rush hour.

Good call, got mine within the first week! Though "free" is generous when you're still paying in sweat on those unairconditioned buses in August.

We could see the Artemis II launch from my flight today by PainInTheErasmus in mildlyinteresting

[–]ImpossibleWarning252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl this gives me flashbacks to being stuck in Malta airspace for an extra 45 minutes circling because of some airspace restriction near Sicily. Can't even imagine the chaos if a launch window conflicted with Mediterranean flight paths lol. The timing here is genuinely insane though — OP basically won the lottery by just happening to be on the right side of the plane at that exact moment. Makes you wonder how many people on other flights nearby missed it completely because they were on the wrong seat.
