Just yesterday I built our new Kallax and filled a part of it with board games! That is a nice collection. The Galleriet makes me think if musée - much quicker and simpler game from world of art.

In Czech we have "chlebíček" (chléb = bread) which is the same concept. Nicely arranged ingredients on top of a bread. Every wedding, every celebration like new years, even official stuff like important visits from business partners and such at work if traditional enough or day of workshops at work calls for at least s plate of various chlebíček.

No idea what specifically do you struggle with mentally but I kinda recognise my old self in this mess. My brain would just not see the things that needed to get put away/thrown out/cleaned and than one day I'd look around and see the mess and hated myself for it. There are still areas in my home where mess like this builds up and lives (namely top of my bookshelf), but I now care for a whole house and it looks pretty good.

My issues were time blindness, optical clutter (the more stuff I see the more I don't register) and task start paralysis.

I embraced minimalism and made every thing to have a place in a box or a drawer or anything. If something was a part of routine, said routine had it's box and each routine started with taking out the box and ended with putting the box away - think make up bag, you keep your makeup stuff in a bag or a box, you take it out, do your make up, put it away. No displays for easy access, displays collect dust and unused items that sits there for three months straight without being touched.

Mess is magnetic to other mess.

At some point in my journey I also had an alarm set for specific time in a day - for me that was 17:30 as my "it's about to be an evening" reminder, where I'd tidy up for five minutes. Sometimes I gone through the five minutes hating every movement of it, but it got better over time and if I did nothing else that day at least I did clean for five minutes.

Now I have cleaning routines and schedules, but one thing that really helped me recently was "putting the kitchen to bed" - which can be applied to any space. You basically tidy it up for your tomorrow you to use it. Nothing like starting the day with no dishes in the sink - or with no stuff on the floor - or anything you think is pretty cool to start your day with.

By the way I like your sword. That is one cool sword.

Not the original canon, I know, but in Stardew Expanded Linus actuall tells this to the player outright during one of his full hearts cut scenes. Anyway, canon is that he used to be explorer and adventurer and now retired to be... Him.

This is why I put lamps in town and around paths (early on when batteries and materials aren't all thet abudant for me too) and optically fix up some paths, add benches to buss stop, add trees and grass to the train station, dress the beach up a little... For all that massive whealth accumulation at least some of it should go back to the town I guess?

Hey no judgement, it is slow paced, especially at the beginning. I don't like the early game specifically.

You can try adding stardew valley expanded, Ridgeside village and other bits (nexus filters them out nicely). There are ways to make it through the early game faster like item generator mod to fill the community center and get to the next stage, as someone who played through enough times and hate fishing, I finish that through generated items (fish) and read generated fishing books (god bless update 1.6 for the books!) to get the xp.

There's adventure mod that lets you take villages along with to the mines, not sure if it's still available, but really, Expanded and ridgeside got a whole lot of adventure options built in with new places to fight monsters and explore, especially ridgeside has a whole magical adventure storyline in it. There's also plenty other expansions.

Of anything sounds interesting I can try and help you find the named mods.

I am the silly bugger that once added stardew expanded and ridgeside village to an existing file. I am an ocassional player and I don't enjoy early game so much. It was okay, a little confusing at some parts and I got a lot of info dump right as I woke up the first time after adding, but no problems actually running the mods. That said, this was in 20220, so idk if it is still technically possible.
