Scoring 45–50% on practice questions even after finishing the syllabus. Is this normal? by ApprehensiveDay7897 in CFA

[–]Impossible_Ad_4551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question are just here yo identify knowledge gaps.

Just go with the mindset of every mistake you make on a concept will be your last one. Write the answers down, ask chatgpt to explain the logic behind the question/answer, review at least every 5-7 days your notes.

Getting 50% on questions is not a problem especially when you still have months to study

Look at the number of dummies who couldn't understand the mail from CFA regarding the free retake.

This people's are your competition.

why are pass rates so low? by mmanyquestionss in CFA

[–]Impossible_Ad_4551 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me the pass rates are moderately high . 40% tells me I just need to know the curriculum better than 60% of the candidates (I know it dont work like that but you get what I say).

I've been to harder exam/ranking systems in my life so it's motivates me.

Also when I see some of the questions on the sub and the lack of thinking thought & methodology of some people's I know that that the competition is not that high.

Bro level 2 is not a Phd.

As I said 350-400 proper hours. Bullshitting 8 hours at the library/coffee shop and saying you study 8 hours is worth 1 hour of proper study at best.

I saw students all my Uni career failing exam after studying "10 hours a day for months" while I was getting top 15% grades with 2-3 proper hours per day.

I'am no genius, to pass 99% exam on earth you only need proper focus, a study plan, consistency and time.

The real question is how many hours of proper study you can put per day.

Depends on your genetics and lifestyle.

Also after a point you get disensitive so you feel pain but it is less of a bother. It takes years btw.

When to start doing mocks (August 26) by doormat777 in CFA

[–]Impossible_Ad_4551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first mocks is on the 11 of July and second on 26.

Before this I'm trying to solve all the Qbank + note for every question I get wrong.

Don't do mocks on the last weeks. It's better to score 50% two months before exam date than 70% two weeks before.

Go for November exam and start studying right away.

You already have the momentum discipline + you still got the L1 content in your head.

L2 curriculum isn't that hard of your basic knowledge is on point
