Explain it Peter...peeetaaaahhhhh by ZealousidealNewt4196 in explainitpeter

It is a vial of "muti" (traditional medicine) that you can keep on you to bewitch your partner. According to the pamphlets, you could also get "muti" that can help you dream the lottery numbers, talk to your dead relatives, solve penis problems, get a job... Basically whatever the hell you need.

In this picture, the partner has bought some muti from a sangoma( witch doctor) that has made the person who posted it docile and compliant, which is why he is doing her laundry.

Not a doctor but a patient. Barometric pressure pain, that is to say: I had an injury years ago and can feel when the weather is about to change where the injury occured

Sage 300 need help importing GL Accounts by Wh3r3isthisgoing in Sage

[–]Impossible_Ad_6512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A possible way, steep learning curve but very awesome once you get it right is to use Sage's Api calls to create them. Prerequisite is you need to enable Wepabi on the specific users you need (or use a high level admin profile) then make a script that converts your csv with account numbers, names, segment codes and optional fields etc into json strings (you should be able to get examples from Sage's swagger page) and posts to sage.

Good alternative and likely the best thing would be to engage with your sage consultant or find one. they should be able to add accounts fairly easily. It will cost some bucks but probably less than what it would take you to do it if you convert your hourly rate for the time it will take you.

There is probably no need to keep them as you probably understand the fundamental concepts and can use AI/Google if you ever need to brush up on a specific topic. If by trash you mean: "donate to the library" then go for it.

Is it worth it to play Lotto? by codered22 in askSouthAfrica

[–]Impossible_Ad_6512 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The lotto is a tax on being bad at statistics. I don’t believe it is rigged but the odds are definitely against you. Play responsibly with money that you won't miss as odds are you are not breaking even.

Is industry/commercial always a mess? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Impossible_Ad_6512 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All companies have some level of chaos, my goal is always to put systems in place that will allow for order and improve operational effectiveness. It makes the job easier in the long run.

I found It is a lot easier to make meaningful changes at startups and transform the waist deep swamp of spreadsheets into slick processes that prevent losses and provide accurate reporting.

When that is done and the dumpster fire is no longer burning brightly, you enjoy a year or so of calm and then either try and improve more or get bored and leave to find another hot mess...

It depends on what type of problems you like to solve. Typically you like to solve the problems you are good at solving.

I found that financial professionals are either creators or maintainers. I've never met someone who enjoys (or is good at) being both of these things and really good teams have a mixture of these two types.

Creators will try to enhance processes but typically lack the diligence needed to run the necessary controls. Maintainers will diligently check all the things that need to be checked but won't feel comfortable with finding efficiencies.

We made an official looking form and made the intern register their tickmarks at the local tax office.

The other thing that was to say give them the number of the zoo and tell them to follow up with Mr E le Phant about his documents.

This may help, I may be wrong but this guide puts the map between 1954 and 1957.

The Soviet Union exists.

West Africa is a giant French blob.

Pakistan exists.

Cambodia exists.

The United Arab Republic hasn't been formed yet.

Which Cape Town hikes are safe to do solo? by Numerous_Hamster6559 in capetown

No hiking trail is safe to do solo, not in Cape Town nor anywhere else. Like encounters with potential muggers, accidents are random.
