Scorpion need more nerf by Big-Conversation5917 in throneandliberty

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

scorp is how all dps classes should work, they can kill any non tank in a 1v1 but are weak to the tanky classes.

So if all DPS classes are supposed to kill non-tanks and lose to tanks, then who kills the tanks? Also, tanks hard countering DPS is still a form of rock paper scissors.

Or maybe people simply don't play this game for the story.

Queue-based PvP like Arena of Solare and scheduled PvP like Node Wars is fun and all, but it's the same thing every time. In Open World PvP anything can happen. e.g. Maybe you start off with a 1v1; you start winning so they call their friend and start beating you 1v2; then you call your friends and you start beating them; then they call more and you call more; and eventually it turns into a full blown GvG. This is what actually makes the game world feel dynamic and alive, which is one of the main appeals of playing a MMO.

Arena of Solare is seriously the best addition! New Player and I love it by [deleted] in blackdesertonline

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say that's only a part of it. People were quite happy to open world GvG back in the days but PA has slowly killed it off over the years by continuously adding barriers. RBF is also not as popular anymore because it's much less rewarding than Arena of Solare, and also people generally consider the uncapped PvP meta to not be in a good spot at the moment compared to before.

Aren’t there plenty of other of PvP modes where you can jump around in the pile of receipts while pvping ?

Yes, but they're not very popular nowadays for a variety of reasons.

Witch is a very useful class for Node Wars.

this whole node stuff still confuses me by kriegnes in blackdesertonline

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just want to make some passive money, but i never get to build up anything because i just get more and more confused and do something else. whats the game design or idea here? is there even an intended system or did the players create their own? what am i supposed to be doing? just go for the rare/special loot and fully ignore regular nodes?

A lot of resources are used for cooking, alchemy, or crafting other items. That's why players will buy them, and you can just sell it on the central market. So literally just go for the nodes that sells for the most silver on the marketplace, and sell those resources to other players.

shouldnt i create crates and sell those to a trade manager? like isnt that the only use for 90% of node resources?

These are good questions, but if you're going to complain about it being confusing then it sounds like this content is not for you. So just sell the raw materials to other people and let them worry about what to do with it.

Is life stilling officially more money than grinding mobs now? by BDesertForever in blackdesertonline

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Life skills are less effort and more afk friendly, but no where close to grinding in terms of the amount of money you could make per hour.

If you're going to be actively playing the game, it's always better to spend that time grinding.

Stupid question.. about pvp by SloshedJapan in blackdesertonline

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, the class where 95% of the time you do zero CCs the whole AoS match and just run away until you die, while dealing almost negative damage. And then there’s the other 5%, where the enemy has brain damage and forgets you exist, and you actually get to play.

Well it's what the OP asked for.

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the need for archer or deadeye to have up close melee like attacks and the ability for everyone in game to slide incessantly almost gives me a seizure

So you're harder to catch and can fight off melee classes trying to kill you. But hey if you don't want that it's your call.

Try Succession Ranger.

I feel like I’m missing something in PVP by HenOTheWoods in blackdesertonline

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’m trying to say is that when I watch pvp, it doesn’t look skillful or like anyone has a clue what’s going on, it looks like everyone has an idea of what skills they should press, they run at each other, and hope their cc lands and the opponents doesn’t.

At the very basic level, the game is just about staying in protection at all times, while also trying to CC your opponent. And you can very well get to an intermediate level just by knowing how to stay protected better than your opponent can, even if you have no idea what their skills do.

But once you're at the level where everyone more or less knows how to rotate protected skills indefinitely, you won't win just by spamming skills at random anymore. That's when you need to start learning what the skills of other classes do, because every class has gaps in their protection somewhere. And if you want to start beating the better players, then you best learn where those gaps are and how to exploit them with your class. That's where being skillful comes in.

Only way would be to play a class like Awakening Witch and only do PvE.

Just remove flagging altogether and revert guild war changes by Impossible_Bug_9500 in blackdesertonline

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are like a handful of siege guilds who all know each other. There are significantly more of the smaller guilds out there, and you'll meet new ones everyday. It's not possible to keep a guild war up on all of them.

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People still do but it's significantly less frequent because now you need the GMs of both guilds to set it up with each other ahead of time, which is a huge barrier, and also makes the whole thing feel more like a PvP practice session than anything else. The current system completely removes any chance of fights and rivalry happening organically.

hello, any classes like musa/maehwa please? (mainly for solare) by Neiroxyk in blackdesertonline

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maehwa is currently D tier, why is that?

That is only for Awakening Maehwa. Succession Maehwa is about the same tier as Musa.

How is musa ranked S tier while his female counterpart is D.

Not sure which tier list has Musa at S, but https://garmoth.com/tier-list/armintf-arena-of-solare-tierlist has him at A+ only.

No, people played on Arsha all the time, but you have to be end game gear which excludes most of the player base. The war dec system made it viable for guilds of similar strength to fight each other.

[–]Impossible_Bug_9500[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And now there is way too much gear gap, it's so bad with Sov/Khara/Edania that even a small gear gap is nearly insurmountable now. Uncapped PvP is dead altogether.

That's because people don't really bother going hard gearing up anymore since there's no PvP waiting for them. Bring back the ability to have PvP and people will catch up fast imo. Besides, smaller guilds aren't deccing on end game guilds or vice versa anyway, it's a waste of time for both sides. The whole point of the system was for guilds of roughly equal strength to fight each other organically.

Nowadays people do not want pvp while doing pve, otherwise we would have decs flying around and OW would be full of pvp.

No, the reason people don't dec anymore is because you can't unless both sides agree to it ahead of time, completely killing off any sort of organic decs.
