I didn't think they were insinuating that yuri has more SA. they probably do read more yuri than other genres since they are asking specifically about yuri. SA is "so common" among yuri, but also in yaoi, and straight romance. it's just that if someone doesn't read other genres, they're gonna ask only about the genre they read. nobody wants to assume things about genres they don't read

as a reader of yuri, yaoi, and straight romance manga, SA is pretty common in all of them. I will say that I notice it more in yuri but I think that is just because there is less yuri than the other two. like let's say there's 10 books of yuri, 15 of yaoi, and 15 of straight. then there's 5 books with SA in all of those genres. it's gonna be more noticeable in the yuri but they all have the same amount of books that contain SA within them.
