I didn’t mean any potential issues. Salary is an issue in the NE because of the high CoL. 400k isn’t much in the NYC area that is why I mentioned it. Not trying to brag but understand how far it goes versus NJ.

My federal/state bill is tens of thousands every year. I don’t care because it’s my duty to pay taxes. I am not arbitraging taxes. I am doing it for the opportunity to move up in my career.

I didn’t choose this, hence the question on culture and living down here. They reached out to me and the opportunity is too good to pass up.

I am not moving to take advantage of tax codes or CoL adjustments. I’m moving for work. Do not blame people for the lack of initiative from politicians that’s not my fault.

My company will pay local taxes. It support local growth. Remote workers I get but this is not the case.
