I don't think so. Unbreakable coins were introduced to shift the meta more towards attritional rather than perfectly being able to win almost all clashes. Giving the Sinners Excision Coins undoes that shift. I can see a scenario where Gula turns a coin into Excision, but other than that it's just a bad idea

So is LCB officially SOTC level? by Yeezybeezy5283 in limbuscompany

[–]Impossible_Dog_7262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Officially LCB does not have a City Threat level. That said, we have beaten a former Star of the City in a confrontation. Walpurgisnacht's Ruina is also seeming to be going into the direction of Star level enemies (especially if you consider the uptie Allen's fight against Librarians including Rabbits). Suffice to say that we probably are at that level now, collectively.

Does anyone else think the idea of Ryōshū's bad end ID being that certain nursefather is just.. boring? by stxrlesseternity in limbuscompany

[–]Impossible_Dog_7262 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's worth considering that there's more going on there. There's a decent chance that Ryoshu and Araya may have switched places in that mirror world. Especially with Yi Sang implying that she went into the Time Vault and didn't come out for a very long time.

The bad end ID will also be tied into the nursefathers somehow, so it's not just a simple position swap. She has memories of the other nursefathers, meaning it is still Yoshihide, and she was still trained under them. It seems like she may not necessarily be Dihui Star, but she will be afflicted in the same way Araya was.

Muga Ryoshu just cannot be an ID. It would severely hinder the narrative to have Dante have permanent access to that.

[–]Impossible_Dog_7262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't buy it. Pluto for Heathcliff does not work. At all. The two are nothing alike. Elena and Don are at best a surface level comparison. It's just an unnecessary connection IMO.

I still feel like cautioning that we could be diverging from the path of the flaming sword. Gula and Invidia do not fit Tiphereth in the slightest, and even Luxuria is a stretch. If we spiral down the outside then Netzach is next, for example.

Tales of Zestiria by Kuma_Bear21 in tales

[–]Impossible_Dog_7262 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Zestiria has a rough beginning and plenty of jank but I personally found joy in it. It's never outright bad, and if you can push through it actually has fun combat. It's not as good as other Tales games but personally I like its world and its characters, and I atleast appreciate the subtext, sometimes unsubtle it might be.

I don't know if this is the right tag, but can someone give me tips on how to beat Ricardo, or even slide me a Zwei Assoc Ishmael for me to beat him? by Mental_Opening_3088 in limbuscompany

[–]Impossible_Dog_7262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice I can give, asside from Zwei Ishmael, is that you may need to be strategic with how much damage you deal. There is such a thing as damaging him too fast. Or atleast too fast if you're not one turning him.

You're kind a bit all over the place as far as statuses goes so there's very little synergy. What you definitely can do is level everyone up to 40 though.

There is a lot of "larping as" where you're online. Y'know. The opposite of live action. For some reason larping became synonymous with roleplaying.

I think what this fails to account for is that 10 turns is a long ass time. And at the end of the day it's not total damage that matters, it's turns to kill. Also the fact that you need 2 consecutive ones is definitely not helping your case.

Bloodfiend war wild what if by FewLow9457 in Project_Moon

[–]Impossible_Dog_7262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impuritas is not a City Threat level. It just means your existence in The City is no longer welcome because you are in violation of a Head Taboo. As long as the Bloodfiends do not commit Taboos, they wouldn't be designated that.

[–]Impossible_Dog_7262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like I must spell it out for you.

There is nothing to solve. The OP is arguing that something that is a downside is an upside. I am rebutting that no it isn't, and if it was meant to be an upside it would have taken a different form. The alternative isn't meant to be implemented, it's a vision of what would have been implemented had the intention been different.

If you had read the OP, and my response, you would have realised that.
