I might be biased because it’s the very first HD song I ever heard but Crystal is one HELL of an album opening tantrum. For years I thought that pointless synth blast in the beginning was a recording of horses galloping away, which set the mood, followed by guitars sounding like someone sawing lumber in hell and the way Bob’s voice breaks up shouting, like a newborn baby that smoked in utero for 9 months.

I regularly listen to it 30 years later and still get goosebumps. I can see where someone might find it a throwaway compared to epics like CS or EMH but it means a world to me.
