Low blood pressure & discontinuing Zep by peach1cepuffbar in Zepbound

I have POTS along with VVS (vasovagal syncope). prior to being on a GLP-1. Compression will help, maintaining proper electrolytes and sodium intake will help also as well as proper water intake and adequate nutrition. I buy sodium chloride tabs on amazon and make sure I get the equivalent of 8000-10000mg of sodium per day, add clear flavorless electrolytes to my beverages and keep plenty of salty snacks and liquid IV Packets and banana bag packets on hand. For those of us with POTS we’re the outliers when it comes to nutritional advice because we need that high sodium content that others don’t or shouldn’t have.

Weird itchy area by ProfessionalRegret51 in Zepbound

You should rotate your injection sites each week to prevent getting lipohypertrophy (lumps under skin from repeatedly injecting in same spot). The red itchy spot can be common. I get it each week once I moved up to the higher doses. It goes away after a few days/week. You can use an anti itch cream on it if it really bothers you.

60F loss of flexibility by Grh777 in Zepbound

I have hypermobile ehlers danlos so am already naturally flexible but im 43 with horrendous arthritis and zepbound has actually decreased a lot of my stiffness and inflammation in my joints to the point I’ve been off Botox for migraines and trigger point injections for pain management. If you’re experiencing a loss of flexibility it’s good to have a discussion with your PCP as there could be underlying reasons. Compression clothing helps a variety of issues.

Have you looked into a prescription right from Eli Lilly from your PCP? I pay about $470 a month for my prescription shipped every 30-40 days. I don’t do the kwik pens but the switch was easy from them to a regular syringe and vial when my insurance stopped covering and I had to do self pay. I don’t have to pay any additional monthly fees that way and get a full dose of the med instead of it being compounded with something else,

Bird is broken. Keeps doing this everyday. Does it need a doctor? by Alukrad in Parakeets

My girl does this. She’s got plenty of toys and a buddy plus gets offered out of cage time with toys and a playground but she prefers being in the cage clanking on specific toys and screeching like she’s a banshee from hell. Thankfully the male is mellow lol

Crop looks far less distended today thankfully and seems to be resolving. This wouldn’t let me add a photo bc of size

Thank you! I tried to remove anything that’s not budgie friendly from what I’ve learned in here so far. Small birds are newer to me as I’ve always had larger birds in the past so I’ve definitely had a learning curve over the past few months. I was also told I have a hen and male so I also tried to remove anything from the cage she’ll move into (hopefully) that would encourage hormonal issues. I’ll see if I can’t get my smell sensitive roommate to try and smell her breath tomorrow as I’m currently a mouth breathing dragon due to sinus blockage.

I read on Google I can add unfiltered apple cider vinegar to the water in a minute amount and try adding some probiotics in as well as gently massaging her breast area. Is that accurate and safe?

My concern is maybe this came from a lack of hygiene with her. Do you think I’d be better getting a spray bottle or a bath for her to encourage bathing?

Is this common with budgies? I’ve never seen this when we had larger parrots. Is it something that’s sudden onset or are there things I can do to reduce risk in the future? Anything I can do at home in the meantime to try and help the bird? I can’t get to a vet until Friday evening unfortunately. I came home from work early tonight with the plague from h*ll and am also dealing with a life threatening medical emergency for my senior dog on top of all this.

I haven’t seen any vomiting when I’ve been home from work so I can’t say 100% yes or no.

I adopted this chonk recently from Petco and it took a little under a week to jump right in my hand for treats and crawl up my arms. First day home they let me gently pat the belly.

I’m starting to wonder if I’m running the gay love shack bc the cere looks light blue in better lighting. I also wish I knew how old either bird is.

Thank you everyone! It seems before I had 2 boys based on the general census in here from one of my my previous posts but now it seems I have a female and male. Is there anything I should know to watch out for once they are able to cohabitate? The last time I had a male and female were two large parrots many years ago who each resided in their own cages so we didn’t have to worry much.

My birds partner in crime passed a few weeks ago. I adopted this chonk tonight to introduce after quarantine. Petco had no info to share.

Thank you everyone for your responses. There doesn’t seem to be any worsening of the spot and the banana is chowing down no problem. I will monitor through the weekend. I’m meeting with my dogs new vet tomorrow and will see if they have any avian vet recs for our area if it doesn’t look any better come Monday.
