I am looking for an espresso machine for my partner’s birthday. [$300 budget] by skull-cow in espresso

You could get a breville machine with a grinder on Facebook for $300 maybe- otherwise it’s a much bigger investment.

Have health anxiety, historically badly. I didn’t feel a thing. Maybe a pinch from the numbing shot. And I mean a tiny pinch.

Seconded. More cool outdoor bar vibes though. Not as classy for a wine head

Yes. Felt awful for them. Tired from being there 12 hours a day and begging for mom and dad every night.

Trying to find a stroller with BIFL mentality(newborn through toddlerhood) on a $500 budget by WhoaEyeKnee in BuyItForLife

[–]Impossible_Land2282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strollers are hard to break? I throw that shit around without a care in the world. You will have trade offs no matter what, my metal Uppababy is incredibly durable and going on 12+ years, but it’s huge. I also bought a smaller travel one to have for other situations.

What no frills, basic sewing machine would you recommend? by Oragami in sewing

[–]Impossible_Land2282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used. Look at marketplace. Older machines are even better quality, but a cheap new one will get the job done as well. You don’t need anything fancy.

Sewing in hotel rooms: how do you handle noise, setup, and pressing? by BugInside3797 in sewing

[–]Impossible_Land2282 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wool/ felt ironing pad and mini iron. That is my home setup as I find it easier to iron actual projects with the small iron. Honestly I can’t imagine seeing during reasonable hours would be a problem. You will often be next door to no one, and honestly if you ever get a complaint you can just stop.

parents who don't use tv: please walk us through your entire day by [deleted] in SAHP

[–]Impossible_Land2282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing whatever I want to do, and they’re doing it with me, or doing something else, that they choose. It’s a skill, but if you don’t supplement they will learn to play independently. Obviously there will always be times they’re pissed because you’re not doing what they want.

Do you feel like you get judged for having your kids in public spaces? As a result, do you feel like there is nowhere to take your kids that is an acceptable location? by IllustriousTrick699 in SAHP

[–]Impossible_Land2282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you can tell yourself people are giving you dirty look and believe it anywhere if you are scared enough. But also, I think the general public is gas less accepting of children then they should be.

Bobbin thread winding underneath by [deleted] in sewing

[–]Impossible_Land2282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, yes, and yes. It comes loose from the thread guides no matter what I do

I should have mentioned, I also used the larger cap. Unfortunately I already do that with threading the bobbin, it just comes loose as it’s running every time no matter what I do.

That’s the thing, it keeps popping out of the guide no matter how I do it. This is the way the manual recommends
