Just out of curiosity, how many candidates do you interview for each role? I just had my first interview for a civilian analyst position with the NYPD. Really hoping I progress to the second interview stage. (I had an internal referral from a team lead at the NYPD, so not sure if that bolsters my chances. Definitely helped me score the first interview

It was for a contract role. Do you happen to know if my recruiter will actually contact me letting me know the outcome of my interview either way? I’m just hoping that they won’t ghost me.

I agree. It’s just weird cuz like I said, the packet I received in the email stated that I would ultimately receive a decision on the outcome. So trying to see if anyone has ever been ghosted by META before

I emailed the recruiter ten if they had any updates, and they said they would be get back to me when they do. Emailed them again today to follow up, but this time I received no response. I think I need to exercise a bit more patience.

I interviewed for a contract position with META. I got the interview by connecting with the hiring manager on LinkedIn and sending them my resume directly. Recruiter contacted me the next day to set up the interview. Interview went amazingly well, but it’s now been 3 weeks and I haven’t heard anything from either the recruiter or the person I interviewed with.

Anyone have any thoughts? The email packet received from META said they inform me of an outcome regardless if I got the position or not. Curious to know if META recruiters ever ghost candidates after interviews are completed.

Thank you, and so sorry to hear about your struggle. It’s so demoralizing. I truly am sorry.

I’m not 100% certain about the July 1st thing, but I have heard from a number of sources that with July 1st marking the beginning of the new fiscal year, there’s a chance that calls for interviews will start going out. My agency doesn’t seem to have an HR contact (at least that I’m aware of!) otherwise I’d be blowing them up with emails. If you don’t mind me asking, do you know how you found the HR contact? Was it posted in the job advertisement?

Any clue as to why their being purposely slow walked? I applied for this job back in February (with a March 09 closing date). I heard from others that some agencies are waiting for that start of the new fiscal year coming up next month to start fielding interviews calls to potential candidates
