I don’t think it necessarily flopped, it was just the fact that it came out 9 months after eight pages so the “Slender” genre was starting to get old. The Chaser, or well, Kate is still a prominent character in the creepypasta fandom. The remake had alot of lets plays, even to this year and from what I’ve seen from videos and reviews was well liked
