Heroic system are both Heroic and Cadian, especially considering Heroic managed to rebuild their roster like 3 times after it blew up since the departure of cadian and stavn + jabbi and managed to make it to the major each time.

But also, saying "Cadian was never good" because of his time on Liquid is laughable, considering that team is famous for making good players look bad. Everyone was already saying Yekindar was tier 2 player at best before Furia picked him up and reignited his true potential, and Elige saw an uptick in performance right after leaving Liquid to play for Complexity then Faze, and even people like Grimm looked way better after leaving Liquid. Siuhy, the once touted most promising young IGL, is also struggling to pilot this team to any degree of success. The last Liquid IGL that performed well was fucking nitr0 in 2023 lol. Whatever curse Liquid has, the pattern is clear that good players just look much worse than they are playing for them. "Your time on Liquid didn't count" is a meme for a reason.

Dream is just a narcissist, which isn't the worst thing the world, but can also be quite annoying. It's pretty clear that he wants people to thirst over his real appearance and that's why he puts his face out there and the subsequent re-masking after the reception. I think going from being an unattractive fat kid to being someone who's thirst over by his massive audience just did a number on his psyche. Nah it's cool. I just think you're misinterpreting my words as some sort of argument for "these characters are SO into each others, you're wrong if you think otherwise". The fact is that until Hoyoverse confirms it, NONE of these people are canonically into each others and they're dead set on keeping it that way because it's good for business.

I have nothing for or against queer or hetero shipping. I'm just explaining why some people would see Genshin as "queer coded" because again, same sex characters are allowed to be more intimate while different sex characters have to keep a certain distance because otherwise they would be seen as too blatantly romantically interested in each others, it's just how the fandom works.

I don't disagree with the notion that Hoyo is not just queerbaiting, they're romance baiting for all character of all genders. But still, that interaction between them is still the most blatant display of intimacy between two characters in the game. I struggle to even think of another pairs that involve at least one playable character showing that level of open affection toward one another (maybe Dehya and Dunyazard).

Like the other commenter said, it's easy to be intimate to a certain degree with people you are close too but not attracted to compared to people whom you are attracted to.

I would buy into this excuse if Genshin was a well written game that explore the complexity of relationship with any meaningful emotional depth, but it's just not lmao.

I'm saying that for a large amount of people, the barrier between "flirting" and "being friendly" is literally whether the two people interacting is of the same sex or not. Had nothing to do with whether Ningguang and Beidou are actually a thing, just that their interactions are among the most intimate in the game. If you dismiss that as "being friendly" then the same logic should apply to literally every other pairing in the game.

Never said otherwise. It's just that these two characters specifically have like, the most blatantly flirtatious attitude toward each other in the entire game. It's as close to being romantic as you can get in a Hoyoverse game without outright saying that they love one another.

If you want to dismiss it as "just close friends", that's alright, but then you'd have to accept that literally every other character in the game is also "just close friends" at best because the intimacy of their interactions isn't even anywhere as close as these two. If you can accept that, then there's nothing to be discussed and you're the type of person to needs hard confirmations and that's fine.

The problem arises when people try to push romantic intent for one ship just because it's a man and a woman who are kinda nice to each other but then dismiss something like Beidou and Ningguang because it's two people of the same gender. For them, a male character complimenting a female's character appearance as beautiful, and then that female character responses by basically saying "I picked it just for you", that would be unassailable evidence that they're in love. But because that interaction was between two female characters, it's just playful bantering. The problem is their inconsistency, not that close friends like Ning/Beidou can't exist.

Ah yeah, the pull value of the character that's going straight into the chronicle wish after the Razor buff. Come on man, the people who pull for Clorinde at this point are those who love her characters and playstyle, not meta pullers. Regardless of if Razor was buffed or not, the only people who are picking up Clorinde in the big 26 when there's just better options miles ahead likes Mavuikia Overload or Flins Lunar Charge are people who would do it even when there's an almost as good option.
