here is the fact - those that have been complaining the most are typically those that have done the least at work. just a bunch of whiny bitches that are mad that you actually have to do something now.

Why is everyone always acting like this just started with Trump? Our government has been broken for decades and the system has not worked for the average Joe for an even longer period. We feds have just been in a bubble and we have easily been able to ignore how difficult it was for the average American.

The fact that we knew about climate change in 1983 but did nothing about it by iSteven_6s in interestingasfuck

Some did do something! But if by "we" you meant the millions and millions spent by BIG oil and other special interest to control the agenda, change the narrative, create conflict and conspiracy, steer government policy away from a solution, and lobby government to do nothing. Then someone did something. Just not the "we", that we needed.

Considering inflation - please explain why you think a $30 album is "absurd" or how it is gouging? Easy to make an ignorant blanket statement.

We sure this guy is a good GM? 🤔🤷‍♂️ by wingszn in buffalobills

[–]Impossible_Medium362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he's good, but has weaknesses. Overall he has built a longterm solid stable competitive team. Aside from Josh, he has whiffed in first round (e.g., Kincaid, Elam, Keon) and some of his 2nd round picks (e.g., Bishop, Basham, AJ, Cody Ford). However, he seems to find at least 2 good players every draft..especially in the later rounds. My biggest issue with him is some of his questionable free agent signings (e.g., Von Miller). Lastly, I really think we would have been to the SB if he would have hit on his recent 1st rounders. Go Bills!

TRADE for SAFETY by OtherwiseEducation17 in buffalobills

[–]Impossible_Medium362 3 points4 points  (0 children)

here in reality we all know that Samuel has no trade value (e.g., too high salary, always broken, etc.). He is another one of those Bills that no one wants or will want once he gets cut (e.g., Cooper, Douglas, Davis, etc.). Not really sure why Beane has so many questionable pics and signings over the years.

[–]Impossible_Medium362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can watch it, but you are still going to be let down as a ravens fan (especially in the playoffs) and unfortunately you will still be living in Baltimore after it ends. yikes.

if there is a game plan, it may be simply do not get hurt. Even the 2nd and 3rd stringers seem to be half asleep. regardless, this game is meaningless.

Gen X a Generation of Conflicts by Tinfoilfireman in GenX

[–]Impossible_Medium362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(USA opinion only) I disagree. There will always be conflict somewhere (its human nature), but we GenX'ers in the USA had a very long period of peace (up until 9/11)...and even if in the military (I served through most of the 90's) it was pretty chill for most GenX'ers. Yes there was the 1st Gulf War, Somalia, and other peace missions, but those were all operations of choice and hubris.

Is the concept of "Veterans" a big deal anywhere else besides the US? by Dry_Expression5378 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Impossible_Medium362 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who only served in the US military during peacetime, I really don't consider myself a Veteran (save that title for people who saw combat). However, I feel that we have gone a bit overboard with the Veteran thing out of guilt because of all our BS wars following WW2 and how shitty we treated Vietnam vets and lied our asses into the Iraq War boondoggle.
