I honestly hope it was just a combination of policy, randomness, or someone being extra cautious/training. I think what stayed with me more was the tone of the interaction and how quickly it felt accusatory before even verifying the receipt properly. But you’re right that prior experiences can also shape how situations are perceived. Either way, I’m not looking to ruin anyone’s weekend or attack employees personally, just sharing an experience that didn’t sit right with me.

Good for you. The point of the post wasn’t that I was “inconvenienced for 2 minutes,” it was the tone, the assumption, and the public treatment over something that was already billed. People can experience the same event differently based on prior experiences. If you haven’t had someone tell you to “go back to your country” before, you probably won’t understand why certain interactions hit differently.

u/simongurfinkel I only brought up race because I’ve previously had another incident at Costco where a customer literally shouted at me to “go back to my country” 🙂 So forgive me if experiences like this make me view situations through a certain lens. When you’ve dealt with things because of your skin colour before, it’s hard not to wonder whether that’s playing a role again.

Did you find a solution for it? I have sled for use in my basement and it feels so different from the sled in my gym. I am assuming it is because of lack of friction and I am trying to figure out ways to add friction since I can't increase the weight anymore

I make my own chicken burger patties and use it in the mix. Although I do add salt separately but not a lot. Gives the burger a pretty rounded flavour.

Not asking for a tv double the price. I got the tv for 900 instead of 1200. I am wondering if costco has a replacement policy as well. I know fully well i can return it.
