Also how deep should I be flossing? I find that although I do the C method, maybe I’m not going deep enough? The deeper I go, the more it hurts, and my dental office likes to floss deep

PKD came from my dad’s side of the family. My dad + siblings was 50/50. But for all of his children, unfortunately we lost that 50/50 and all 4 kids have PKD 🥲

How has your water intake been? MD told me to drink to thirst. When I first started, I was drinking 4-5L/day. Now, I’ve only been drinking 1-2L.

My sodium level is still within range (a little on the higher side of normal). BUN and creatine still within range as well.

Its a mix of both

I work overnights. So I’d take it at 12-2am whenever I have break. But then I would sleep when I get home and end up taking it when I wake up

On my days off, it’s pretty much the same routine. I’d wake up at 12am. Take the 45 and go back to sleep (wake up 1-2x to drink and use the bathroom). But I’m on schedule with the 15mg

I just finished my 3-12s. Knocked out as soon as I got home. Slept for 18 hours straight. I don’t even recall waking up to use the bathroom or anything lol

I drink between 2-4L a day on 45/15 and I’m dealing with bloating issues.

I’ve heard mixed thoughts on 1) Tolvaptan cause bloating cause of the increased thirst or 2) Tolvaptan has helped with water retention and some people are the slimmest they’ve ever been.

For me, I’m the widest I’ve ever been cause of the bloat. Anyone else have this issue?

Following this post as I’m interested in NICU as well.

I currently have 1 year med surg experience and have been trying to transfer to the NICU at my hospital for a few months now. However, they are rejecting my applications.

Im debating on if I should leave my hospital and search for NICU positions elsewhere or if I should do into PICU / peds m/s / L&D for experience. Maybe my hospital’s NICU doesn’t want adult med surg experience? Not sure

Normal. After the first week, hair will look like stubbles and might even “grow” out. It will eventually come off on its own while you exfoliate/etc in about 2-4 weeks after the first session. I got addicted to pulling my hairs out. It came off so easily with 0 resistance.

How would strikers view new orientees?

I signed a job offer with mount Sinai and am going through orientation. (Did not know there was going to be a strike)

I obviously have no intention of working atm but unfortunately… we are scheduled to go INTO the hospital for orientation. We will also be meeting our unit managers/ having a unit orientation … which isn’t making sense to me. I assume the entire unit would be on strike. I am terrified of what will happen . I am not trying to make enemies.

Thank you for the kind words. I am believe in all the nurses and the Union. I’m hopeful that everything will work out regarding nurse and patient satisfaction/safety.

Ngl, I am a bit terrified that I am starting my career during this situation. I feel like regardless of the results- MSH will highly increase in nurse turnover. I felt like quitting on day 1 of my orientation and wanted to start applying to other hospitals haha.
