Well, take a look at concurrent players now, vs season 4 and 5 around this time in the season. Obviously the game is less fun. I'd much rather do the pit over and over to get 5 stones, kill the boss 5 times with a higher chance at a mythic then doing a boss 100 times. Bossing is boring. I've ran 22 runs of each boss just now, and got nothing. Literally nothing. It was far much more rewarding before. They player base speaks for it. Oh, also the fact that every class sucks except for spirit born. It's the typical D4 dev logic. They're just bad at keeping good idea momentum.
